Indian Creek to the Eye of the Needle: the most dangerous hike in the state of Arkansas!
Join us on an epic adventure as we explore this one-of-a-kind trail. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, this hike offers a nice blend of natural elements, including; waterfalls, caves, and rock formations.
This 5-mile (out and back) hike ascends 700 feet in elevation. The Eye of the Needle stands at 1,400 feet tall!
The trail begins near the Buffalo River at Kyle’s Landing, but you’ll only follow the trail for a quarter mile before splitting off.
Most of the hike is walking along the bluff sides, with occasional riverbed crossing. There are a few spots where you’ll want three points of contact as you shimmy across narrow rock ledges that may be slick from the inpouring streams and regular water runoff.
When you arrive at the Eye of the Needle, there are ropes to help you make it up the steep mountainside.
