It was a great experience being able to see the Ankor Wat, it felt like going back in time. The Temple itself is filled with history and every wall tells a story. The walls are adorned with different symbols, writings and representations of their beliefs. It is incredible to see the detailed carving on the walls.
Angkor Wat was built during the power of Khmer king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. It was originally constructed as a Hindu Temple and was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple.
Ankor Wat Temple is the symbol of Cambodia and is depicted as part of the Cambodian national flag.
It is also known as the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered as the largest religious structure in the world by Guinness World Records.
