Shoeless Joe has no grave stone I think that was done on purpose. He threw the world series for the black docks. Some sports fans have not forgotten

@@famousgraveswithdiamonddave The photo in the video is Michael Jackson's father, not "Shoeless Joe Jackson", just FYI. =) There's an awful lot of people named "Joe Jackson", I would assume that grave isn't someone of notoriety, just a guess. Thanks for your efforts on the videos.

I'm acquainted w/ a couple of property owners, so I usually attempt to visit those beautiful gardens whenever I'm @ FLG. Perhaps my favorite epitaph of all time is inscribed on impresario Earl Carroll's gravesite (he's located almost directly across from Mary Pickford) which reads, "In life we weep at the thought of death; perhaps in death we weep at the thought of life".

@@famousgraveswithdiamonddave When standing directly in the front of the Pickford sarcophagus, about face to see the opposite wall, then glance @ a 45° to the left of there, towards the far south corner (the GoM is laid-out on a NW and SE angle slant). Earl Carroll's private garden is situated here, on a slight rise reached by several ascending steps. A bronze statue is in place there placed behind and above the in-ground crypts.

The first famous grave I accidentally happened upon was Jackie Wilson. I’m from the Detroit area. I’m a cemetery dweller, and I just happened upon him. I heard Michael Jackson paid for the grave. It is in a mediocre cemetery across from an old asylum, an old bar with a warped floor and a water tower. Not the nicest neighborhood. I’ve seen lots of Motown stars. Ppl think I’m weird to stroll in cemeteries and I agree!! Lol

Hi Dave hoping your day is going great. Singer Natalie Coles grave is Breathtaking. Her Parents are just across the courtyard. Mr. Joe Jackson didn't have a Grave, WOW. He had Ambition for his Sons. The Famous Group, The Jackson Five. I thought he would have been buried next to Son Michael. I liked Actors, Humphrey Bogart and Robert Taylor, Rip to you All. Dave your Philosophy of What you do with your Life, I like it enjoy While you still on this Earth. I'm glad that you've got New Subscribers. Keep up the Good Work Dave. See you at the next one. Supposedly, Lauren Bacall is also interred with Bogart (but some say "No"). The only graves of celebrities in my area that I know about are those of Charlie Chan portrayer Warner Oland and a great star of the stage, Gertrude Lawrence (the original Anna in The King and I). Very enjoyable video.

Humphrey Bogart died from esophageal cancer in 1959, leaving behind his wife Lauren Bacall and son Steven Bogart. Humphrey was of course a heavy smoker as you would have seen in his movies.
