When Delphine and Raphael told us about the Southern Continental Ice in Torres del Paine, we had no idea of its existence, much less that it was in El Chaltén and that we could get there on foot.
They asked us intriguing questions:
Have you used crampons?
Have you done zip lining?
Do you know what a zip line is? Almost, but not quite! 😅
Have you walked in snow?
All the answers were a sincere "No." So, although we created universes where we performed these feats, the plan was put on hold until we reached El Chaltén.
It was an unexpected turn when, overnight, we found ourselves in a beautiful forest, heading for the most epic adventure of our lives. A journey where we challenged ourselves in multiple ways and definitely some went up and others went down (as in every mountain adventure)
