That was SO MUCH FUN! You finished your first series with a great episode. I want to GO to this place and spend a long day exploring. Wow! How many books does The Last Bookstore hold? Looks like a huge number. I love the idea of the building being a former bank. Now it's a bank full of ideas and adventures. Thanks for a great season of Oddity Odysseys. Can't wait to see more!

Yes we do, but we never use it because we cant be out of the sun for any amount of time , as our perfect tans might fade.

LBS is so much fun. Incidentally, here are 4 extra treats film buffs will find within walking distance of LBS: Three shooting locations for Ridley Scott's 1982 Blade Runner (Bradbury Building, Million Dollar Theatre, 2nd Street Tunnel (Between Hill & Figueroa) & LA City Hall = The Daily Planet (Adventures of Superman, TV series 1952-58). When you're through with those destinations, take the subway over to Union Station because that's where R. Scott shot Blade Runner's LAPD station. Enjoy!

It's so funny! The only reason why I came here is because the lady talking, Katie Orphan, is actually an eyewitness in the Elisa Lam case as she was one of the very few people who saw her alive. That's why I decided to watch this video. It's even more strange to know that the bookstore is located in one of the most dangerous sections of LA called Skid Row but this bookstore looks so appealing and a safe place to visit.

Interesting. What brought me to this vid was their other video of the LA tunnels and I had been wondering, for a long time now, if there happened to be tunnels under or very near The Cecil Hotel, saw they made a vid about the Last Book Store and I knew it was right next to The Cecil. Saw a random comment on a totally different video of some guy claiming he and a friend had gotten "lost" in the tunnels and popped up somewhere unaware of where they were and where they came out was none other than The Last Book Store. .. It all comes together now.

If I were to visit L.A. I would visit “the last book store”! You might have to turn your jacket into an improvised pack to get the books to the subway. When I was in high school I didn’t have the car that day so I used my big shirt 🤣

hi just came acorss this video today we used to live in la as kids but then my mom was like were going back to norcal, so now i just live in between san jose in oakland ca, i started driving in 05 and then i started finally hanging with my friends in wrestling. then that summer (since a former friend was going to join their wrestling school) the promoter asked me to come along and help with set up so i started driving to so cal for shows in 2014 i was gonna go with them to la for a show and then we were gonna hand out there for a few days so i saved for gas and hotel BUT i didn't get to go because my dad started developing deminita so i stayed and helped my sister with our dad ...anyways yea the closet i got to la was 2016 when i went to disneyland for the first time (but i didn't drive) i took amtrack maybe this summer or next summer i'll drive down there again, thx for the laugh at the end haha dylans like: you know we didn't drive here right? so how are you going to get those home? she ingores him and says...like and sub to our channel then later she's like hey dylan you think you can carry one? but he walks away and so bethany decides to sneak in another book idk if anyone else thought that was funny but i did. i think i need to laugh again so im going to watch it again :)

Hey Drew/Bethany get some wide angle lenses. Your videography "barely captures" the massiveness of this place. Especially on the second floor 6:02 there are about a half dozen small art galleries and shops up there.

There are definitely several sections of wonderful and ancient books. We should have covered more of those areas but ran out of time. Highly encourage people to see this place for themselves!
