Dust inhalation in the Foundation is probably still a serious problem. It could make you rapidly de/age, de/evolve, eject all your blood from your eyes, collapse you into a singularity, reverse your perception of reality and fiction, give you instant full body cancer, or any number of extremely painful or fatal effects. Just from changing the filter on an HVAC.

Retrocausaly - engineered mean that past events are effected by future events and that its intentional. Intertemporal either means between 2 times or how current decisions affect what options become available in the future. Syncronization means operate at the same time or rate. Noetic means mental activity. And ordinality means the capacity to place numbers in sequence.

I remember reading part of this canon some years ago, but I followed a series of links that told the story from Phil's point of view so I somehow skipped the REISNO cannon somehow. This whole tale is very convoluted but quite entertaining, the author is particularly creative in the ways in which the characters meet their end, I remember one being turned into a pile of odd looking lemons just because they took a few steps in the wrong direction during one of the re-enactments of the event and how the Foundation just had to keep containing the piles of lemons every year after that. Also this canon is generally bonkers even by SCP standards.

"There is no cannon" is a separate idea relating more to the in-universe meta-awareness that the SCP list describes many different realities. A lot of good SCPs are based on taking wordplay literally when you think about it.

the time leap device is far more practical than the reisno cannon tbh, considering you don't really need to repeat the instructions to your past self to ensure a paradox doesnt occur, its only really limited by how much time you can leap...... a week max kinda ass but oh well.

What I would love to find another SCP that includes a footnote among the lines of: "During the recontainment efforts, a gnarled corpse carrying Dr. McDoctorate's identification was discovered along with wreckage from what appears to be two pieces of machinery. Site personnel have reached out to the doctor to ascertain what he knows about "P.E.E." or a "-SNO CANNON."

I guess that I can understand what went on, but I just can't understand why half of that stuff happened? I get that it's SCP but it just takes it so far into randomness. There's involvement from cognitohazards, memetic stuff, a full 001 proposal somehow, on top of things randomly turning into other stuff or coming to life and it just reads like it's trying to be everything at once while using Placeholder as a reason for it. The SCP isn't bad honestly, but it's needlessly complex for my taste

If i have a dollar for every time the Foundation accidentally created a temporal paradox by time travelling and it leads to a facility annually being reset to the time of a certain event and everyone has to reenact the event so that reality will not branch, I'd have 2 dollars, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it has happened twice.

Hoo boy, this is some Doctor Who levels of timey-wimey shenanigans. 🤯 Specifically, it reminded me of the Last Great Time War (especially its fanfic depiction) : At the epicenter of the time-paradoxical anomaly, ppl are dying, only to resurrect every year, and when they Don’t die, their personal timelines get corrupted, turning them into homicidal degradations. And when Extra ppl die, time has to be shifted in order to compensate for this, and their deaths have to then be maintained in every cycle, or the paradox will get even more convoluted. 😵
