That's something that I seriously love about The Exploring Series: he doesn't just, like, synopsize an SCP or two and call it a video. He actually critically analyzes them, drawing connections and conclusions to always make for an extremely interesting video

This, to me, is the most "logical" timeline. There is no way that the GOC, SCP Foundation, Anderson Robotics, Marshall Carter and Dark, and other groups could keep their activities under wraps

I think an interesting wrinkle in the story would be the PR fallout from the failed attempt to administer amnestics to the global population after the disappearance of North Korea. I think it has a lot of storytelling potential. Ex: -Creating a large group of people who have to be reintegrated into society after the partial success of the amnestics campaign -The realization that SCP may have done this before leads to a massive effort to learn our true history -governments become aware of just how useful amnestics can be in launching cover-ups Etc.

That's a good point, since there have been a few skips where planet-wide efforts to suppress all memory and record of an anomalous event have succeeded (SCP-1425, "Star Signals" and SCP-096, "The 'Shy Guy'", _maybe_ SCP-2845, "The Deer"), or even scenarios where civilization and/or humanity have been destroyed and then rebuild with SCP-2000. Of course, the really interesting question is what happens when people find out there are some planetary-scale "retcons" and "reboots" that even the Foundation can't explain.

Yeah, they could administer amnestics, but think of all the history - books, novels, etc that would have to be rewritten. The Korean war, WW2 eastern front , many other events would have to be retrofitted in a way that would make sense. The Foundation was only able to do that once before, and it was in Mexico, a place with (arguably) less historical significance than Korea. That does make me wonder though, on Korea Island, who would win the Cold War?

I get that it was a joke, but in the Ad Astra, Per Aspera hub, basically a possible future for the Broken Masquerade, humanity takes to the stars and South Koreans establish Luna Korea, an anti-Foundation country located on the moon because they couldn't forgive the Foundation for basically yeeting a country full of their extremely estranged, homicidal family members.

@Irsyad Aman cruelty is evil, and they are cruel. They run many, many tests that are extremely liberal with the use of human lives, from both the incarcerated and kidnapped. They run tests on SCPs that are easy to contain out of morbid curiosity, often endangering both the foundation and the public. Remember the cup that makes you drown in human waste? They also don't value the lives they willingly sacrifice, forcing them to live in a prison-like environment, exposed to amnestics often to "recycle" them for reuse, and terminating those who have outlived their usefulness. The last thing any of them experience I'd a restrictive, horrific environment eith minimal luxury. Also, they kidnap children.

Honestly, that final quote is probably what makes me reject Broken Masquerade as a canon. It's fantastic in theory, but as soon as I realize that people woulde be more interested in making big titles about this shadowy organization responsable for the deaths of thousands of people every year rather than focusing on the fact that without them the entire world community would be fucked up, irks me the wrong way and I lose interest in reading too deep into. The Broken Masquerade is definitely my favorite alt universe of the SCP Universe or Multiverse should I say. It just sounds so pure and amazing. Especially the fact that maybe a Foundation Zoo could br created having Eucild or Safe anomalies in them for the public to look at. So many possibilities!

Definitely one of my favorite canons, with room for a lot of interesting stories and avenues that don't normally get explored. The tales written by Cyantreuse are especially good, exploring the ethical ramifications of the Foundation's open activities, particularly on an individual level. It's really enjoyable stuff.

The SCP wiki fascinates me, and not just with the incrediblely creative stories, but the fact that a whole group, spanning from hundereds, thousands, even millions of different authors, without any direct connection to each other have collaborated and made something this huge is incredible. I know that after getting familiar with the SCP foundation I should be used to this but it still impresses me. And as for The Exploring Series, I have him to thank for introducing me to this amazing world of The SCP Foundation. This canon in particular is incredibly interesting to me, and I'd love to hear more about it!

This is why I never was so fond of the foundation. It's keeping humanity alive, but its policy is just to keep everybody ignorant of every supernatural thing to keep status quo of the whole world, hoping it'd go on as long as possible before something they cannot deal with ends the world. There are so many scps anomalies that could really improve the world and other scps that could really use more thought out procedure than just 'lock it up and hope it doesn't end the world'

@@shadowrunner2109 I actually never thought of that scenario, PR is a very hard thing to get for these GOIs, i think the GOC would get instantly criticized by almost every person and media news outlets out there, it would be very hard for the GOC to continue because it's mainly (if I remember correctly) funded by world governments, these countries Presidents or Leaders would think it would be risky for their public image to continue to fund a very ethically loose organization like this, let's not forget the action by certain activists to the GOC, imagine the GOC going to an anomaly to terminate it and activists are blocking the road to get there, the GOC would need to change their ways if they want to survive in this very shifting and progressive era they have found themselves in, you have any thoughts about this?

@@CalvinNoire yeah I was thinking more or less the same thing. I figured that since the GOC is funded by various governments that they would most likely lose most or all of their funding. Also the public would most likely see them as a modern day equivalent of a certain group from ww2 (I'm not sure if I can say it on KZfaq), and given how the public has great the Foundation I highly doubt they would let the GOC get away with their past crimes. So, while the Foundation may have been allowed to continue their operations albeit in a different way, I don't think the public and the courts would be so understanding/lenient (I'm not sure if that's the right word) towards the GOC.

@@shadowrunner2109 yeah, I could see the GOC getting put on a international trial for their morally bad crimes, one to rival the Nuremberg trials lol (The Toronto Trials anyone?). if they do disband, however, I could see the unused weapons and armor be given to world governments, or more logically, to the foundation, certain (sane) people from the GOC as well could be recruited by the foundation, though I could see many GOC staff and soldiers joining other GOIs, like the UIU for example. What do you think would happen to the other GOIs? For example, the ORIA (Organization for the Reclamation of Islamic Artifacts), G.A.W (Gamers Against Weed), serpents hand? What do you think would happen to them?

I really love the Leeward & Warner posters splayed out in this video. The design of them looks realistic and professional, and they do a good job of making you feel like you live in this fictional world they take place in. Amazing how someone can invoke a sense of worldbuilding just from some mere images alone. That is impressive.
