I explored around Brgy 101 in Tondo Manila Philippines. Tondo, is the most densely populated district in Manila, and there is just so much to see! I get so excited roaming around and meeting the locals, especially after filming, it's one of the things that I look forward to the most! I was born and raised in Tondo and I've seen both the chaos and the beauty of the town first hand ever since I first laid my eyes to the world. As a kid, I've never imagined myself out of town since all the fun is already there. No matter how hard life is most of the time, there's no day I'd spend without smiling or laughing because I'm surrounded by great people who makes you believe life is great even with the hardships. Tondo will always have a place deep in my heart for there's no place like home.💛

I miss living in a place like this. I grew up in a poor part of Puerto Rico and seeing all these structures and plants and things and so busy it is just makes me want to go back there.

NOTHING IS MORE CALMING THAN WATCHING THESE VIDEOS. I FOUND CALM IN THIS CHAOTIC SLUMS LIFE. SOMETHING ABOUT KIDS BEING HAPPY ALL ARROUND AND THEY TRY TO PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACES EVEN THO ITS HARD( IT MAKES ME EVEN MORE GRATEFUL AND KEEPS ME GROUNDED

Great vid from a foreigner's lens. It's hard to look at sometimes. Tondo has been unfairly stigmatized over the years. Yet the residents seem to cope well and the kids look happy. Hopefully vids like this would help change the mindset.

Worked with guys who lived in Tondo,went there many times,met some of the best people there, always welcomed me , it opened my eyes to what you really need to be happy,family was number 1 for them, thanx for the vdo ,brought back alot of good memories.

Walking thru tondo is a trip. The poverty can make you shudder. No one ever bothered me either. Everyone is always so busy and due to density population of there’s always crowds in lots of places bustling an around

its slum in one of the place in tondo but i can say that this place is much better than any other slum in other parts of the world because its clean and more organized.. some people say that its dangerous place but i can say its not at all because people there are friendly.

With all of the comments so far, I'm sure that nothing I say will be new or unique, and the questions that I have have undoubtedly been asked and maybe answered somewhere, but I would still like to express my appreciation for the insight and "experience" that I would never have had without your kind efforts. The video and audio quality are stunning, and the perspective is as close to actually being there as you can get. I, like others I'm sure, am trying to figure out how you're actually getting around. I saw a water trail that makes me think you must be on one of those two wheel auto "skateboard-like" things, but even then I'm not sure how you're getting through some of those tight spaces and with such incredibly stable video. I must say that I, as a non-Asian, might feel a little awkward and conspicuous walking and filming in some of those areas not knowing what I might inadvertently come upon. Nevertheless, the best part of this is what others have stated -- it shows that although people may be materially "poor", they may in fact be much richer than those who think "success" and happiness can only be found in the amount of money or possessions one has. No doubt these people suffer hardship, but it doesn't defeat them or limit their character; probably the contrary. In some ways, they may actually be leading the "good life". Blessings to you and to them.
