Exploring Tuckertown Dam!! DANGEROUS WATERS

2 жыл бұрынCome along with me today on this journey as we explore the Tuckertown dam.Tuckertown reservoir is formed by the Tuckertown dam which sits at the the north end of badin lake and high rock dam, it is part of the Yadkin river .The dam was built in 1962 by Alcoa Power Generating Inc. and is mainly protected and mostly undeveloped to help the wetlands and forest, although Tuckertown is opened to boating and water activities it is rare to see this, only on busy weekends you may encounter these activities.The reservoir is open for fishing and activities and is mainly a hot spot for fishing in the inlets.If you guys are ever in the Davidson County area come and visit the Tuckertown Reservoir and dam, you may get a chance to see the waters open like i did, although the waters is dangerous during this it is a sight to see.Hope you guys enjoy this explore of Tuckertown dam.

I constantly fish around that general area, it’s a great spot, bass, catfish, crappie or pan fish depending on what you feel like catching. Some nice areas to hunt close by as well, literally had a turkey jump out of a tree on top of me at sunrise while fishing once lol.

Actually no. High rock is about 8-10 miles up river. This dam separates tuckertown from Badin Lake. High rock is on the other side of Tuckertown.

Oh and it’s one constant word. Pronounced without the pause in the middle. Say it like you would say basketball. Tuckertown is heaven, you can keep Badin. In the early 90s you could go days at a time on the upper end of the lake and not see a boat. We had a summer place for years on the lake.
