Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a fun retro throwback themed hotel resort at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.
Located next door to Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park, hotel guests have their own dedicated access (with a room key card) and private security check point to access the water theme park.
Elsewhere there’s a garden walking path to city walk to access Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure Theme Parks and a regular complimentary shuttle bus service to city walk for those that don’t wish to walk.
Cabana Bay Beach resort features standard rooms, Volcano Bay View Rooms and Family Suites, that sleep up to 6 adults with either an interior or exterior entry. Separate kitchenette and living area.
In this video we take a full tour of the resort’s amenities including two swimming pools, one with a water slide, one with a lazy river, the fitness centre and bowling alley as well a room tour of a family suite with interior entry.

Sapphire Falls has a boat that will take you to the parks. We didn't know about this the first time we stayed but we took it the second time and it's definitely the way to go.

Thanks outstate9218 I did sneakily recommend this in my Aventura video! Bit it’s sneaky as it’s supposed to be just for guests of Sapphire Falls .. however from our own experience of staying in Aventura / Cabana the universal staff are always friendly and let us stow away 😃🫡

Thank you! So informative and helpful for our first upcoming trip. Would you walk or take the bus to parks? Do you need a resort mug for ice tea? Will my EVC scooter fit in the room you stayed at night to plug in to charge for next day? Thank you!

I’d personally take the bus, as a day in the parks are exhausting enough! But it’s nice to have the option to take the garden walk. The garden walk will safely cross over the road (Adventure Blvd) and from there you can access Sapphire Falls hotel which has water taxis to city walk too. Both the busses and water taxis are accessible for EVC Scooters. The suites have much more space than a standard room so there will be more room to park and charge your scooter. You can’t ask a British guy about iced tea come on! You know I only drink my tea hot haha! 🤣 The resort refill mug has Fuze iced teas on the coke freestyle machines in the bay liner diner. I believe there’s some kind of iced tea dispenser next to the coffee and hot chocolate ones too .. but I’m really not qualified in this area haha! Hope you have an amazing trip

We are staying here this June. Lived the video. Great information. I had it playing on the television, and I found the background music a little loud compared to the voiceover. The most informative video about this resort I’ve found so far.

This is a really helpful video. We are planning our first ever Orlando trip and we are thinking of 11 nights at Cabana Bay next August. Can I ask the way way to get some groceries for your room? Did you Uber to a supermarket? Is this easy? Thank you

Hi Kate, thank-you I'm glad the video was helpful, On this occasion, we drove to Walmart as we had a hire car to go to Busch Gardens for the day so nipped into Walmart on the way home! We have previously got an Uber/Lyft to Walmart and its worked well. You can order groceries online through apps like Instacart Amazon Prime Ubereats Grubhub As a general rule, they will deliver to hotel lobby, but you have to be there to collect them. Universal won't accept delivery on your behalf. So Amazon is a good way to get around this as they have real time delivery tracking Hope this helps

What was the car rental experience like we want you to rent a car for one day while we are there

It was very easy we booked direct through the Avis website - you can select Cabana Bay as a pick up location. A lot of the pre registration paperwork was done online so really quick pick up. We got a convertible and drove to Busch Gardens for the day, which was very fun! The cars are in the parking garage at the rear of the hotel - for the one day hire we didn’t have to pay for overnight parking at Cabana Bay (but you do for longer rentals) One disappointing issue, we returned the car early so the next day at 1minute before our rental was officially supposed to end - the next customer took the car through a toll road without paying so I got the fine - $10 so not major but annoying and Avis have been very unhelpful in resolving

Does anybody know if I bring a kettle from Ireland will I be able to use it in the rooms, only they only have coffee maker , I need to boil water for tea .

Hi Carmel Just to be aware that the power supply is 110-120v not 240v at home in Ireland. So it could be worth buying a cheap American kettle in Walmart. There’s Cabana Bay friends/fans Facebook groups where people leave toasters/kettles after they check out (even saw a rice cooker once!) With the coffee maker in the room, it has a tray for a coffee bag to go inside, much like a tea bag so you can use the coffee maker to make tea no problems / or could run the machine for hot water with bag in cup, there’s options!

Hi Mike, Both options have their small differences, all in all they are the same room. Interior Inside hotel corridor to get to room Window in bedroom Exterior Outside walkway to get to room Window in living area Depends what your family needs?! Whichever you choose Cabana Bay is a great place to stay - let me know what you go for!

The narration is recorded later not in the hotel room. Thanks for the feedback I’ve been trying different microphones and software to improve the audio quality, this is all out of pocket so thanks for bearing with me, hope you at least found the video helpful even if you have to mute my awful voice
