We get a lot snow and it can get quite cold at times in the Winter in the Okanagan!!! This is why BIG WHITE ski resort in Kelowna is very popular…as well as SILVER STAR ski resort in Vernon.

Kal Lake in Vernon,B.C.was murky because it has a sandy bottom as opposed to rocks,,,there was a lot of people,stirring it up,so it became murky…….when you get the people out,it will be crystal clear……it was actually named top five most beautiful lakes!!🙂

Wow this place looks really great! Those little beach areas and stretches look so quiet. Would love to see any spots like that here in the PNW (if you ever find any). Thanks for sharing with us 😊

This is in the PNW just inland and over the border

Move to the suburbs. It's a lot nicer than Seattle. Somewhere on the east side, even Snoqualmie or Maple Valley are great places. They are in nature, still relatively close to the city and even not as liberal.

But you can't walk
@yordanpopov5 ай бұрын
@@GeminiDiscover yes but Seattle is not great for this anymore. So dirty and full of homeless. If you want to walk, places like Issaquah and Redmond are not that bad, but a lot nicer to live.
@GeminiDiscover5 ай бұрын
There's truth to that but we were in Issaquah yesterday and we saw like 10 people walking on a trail next to the freeway. It sucks. And I agree with you that things have gone downhill but the suburbs are not the answer. We need to clean house

WK is gorgeous, no doubt I lived there for 6 years. But it is so way way unaffordable, no vacancy, sky high rents, a decent house will cost 4,000 a month IF you can find one. And with the forest fires and 400 units burned down, it is even worse. Been through several forest fires and they are not fun. Madness. I like many others, were forced out because of housing greed and flipping houses to make money. I miss WK but not he greed t. Beautiful place for sure, but the people generally have a selfish attitude, not the happiest lot. it's all about money and me. Do I miss it? Of course - the geopgraphy is gorgeous, the hiking, trails, canyons, the nearby towns, the temperate climate - hard to beat. But at what price? I lived in Salmon Arm / Canoe - again a gorgeous place, 1/10 the size, pristine lakes and peace. But lacking in many things Kelowna has. The vacancy rate is zero. Same with Vernon. Would I go back? Not under the economics that exist in 2023/24. Unaffordable. The same house in Winnipeg is 1/2 the price and rent. oh well.
