Toledo was never the capital of Spain. It was the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo during the 7th century. Then the Iberian Peninsula was conquered by the Arabs, being Córdoba their capital city, and Toledo was reconquered by the christians (the Kingdom of Castile) in 1085. Castile had a system of "itinerant court" without a capital city. So no, Toledo was never the capital of Spain. Stop telling nonsense.

@@robert111k Thank you for the ungracious correction. I got sloppy there in my haste. I was focused more on how it seemed fitting to punctuate the end of the video with a beautiful shot of Toledo. (About 1560, Philip II moved the Royal Court from Toledo to Madrid). There is more to it. I can read about it later....or you can tell us. I truly was taken by the beautiful video. I think Toledo was a preceding center of government to Madrid on the land that later became Spain around 1500. We need to fact check you. I am very far away from Spain and my learning of European History. Life must be difficult for you. You are crude. Unrefined in manner. I welcome corrections. Not arrogance. Go to it babe. @@jayleon2080, people that spread nonsense about the history of a country just inventing, somebody who shows such an arrogant lack of respect to a whole country, asks for respect to himself? Some guts you have, no doubt. And some cheeks. And you keep on inventing. What part of Castile being a kingdom without a capital city is still unclear to you? Toledo was just one among the several Castilian cities with a _Real Alcázar_ (royal castle), being others Madrid, Medina del Campo, Segovia, Sevilla or Valladolid.

Toledo and Madrid are different, Toledo is medieval, Madrid is modern and barroque.
