Ojude oba is for only ijebus also my prominent family started it by KukU bello the second balogun of ijebu land it was formally named Obanta day .... the story started hence when kuku was barnished and he went to war for ijebu and got back into town only for him to go to the king's abode and started shooting guns and jubilating with his servants on many horses so the king felt he came to fight him but kuku responded and said I just came to greet my king outside his balance ita oba

This is different from what we were told... we were told that it started during the reign of subomi balogun's forefather's reign as awujale over a 100yrs ago. That the then Muslims paid a thank you visit to the awujale on the 3rd day after sallah to thank him for allowing Islam to flourish in ijebu. On the other hand obanta day had been in existence way back before then
