I saw a seller on German eBay that has the large Le pliage in the color paper but he sells about 100 bags of them and they are always around 45 Euro. It’s a huge red flag when a private seller has 100 bags.

@@SandySola no it was on normal eBay. I reported an obviously fake bag auction and customer support replied there’s nothing wrong with the bag. Seems to me eBay doesn’t really care if you buy a fake bag or not. They only care about their money they get from the auctions.

I always buy my Longchamp bags at Official Stores. I have a receipt from the store. I don't understand why people buy at Nordstorm, Farfetch...where they don't have any kind of longchamp receipts. How can for example Farfetch can sell a New longchamp bag at the same price at the store???for me is strange. Some Longchamp bags I then sell at ebay as a pre loved one. They are authentic and I ship with original or copy of the Longchamp official store. I can easily see when a Longchamp or Louis Vuiton bag is fake, If you are not sure do not buy it. A pre loved bag for half the price is ok. but a new one??? or limited edition in good condition?

lots of fakes on Mercari ....I am no expert but many sellers with zero ratings and similar pics with plastic wrap around handles. The names of the users which is supposedly their real names are very suspicious. Thank you for creating this informative video to warn buyers!

Yes, i got 2 fake bags off Ebay....both in Club line. I didnt know untill your video popped up. But there were some clues like plastic wrapping on the handles, leather painting is from plastic material. Price is around 45 euro. 😣 What to do next with the bags? Will you destroy it?️

Oh wow I just can't stand it when sellers are selling fakes as the real deal. I'm honestly not sure what 'the best' thing is to do in this situation.. Just throwing it out also sounds like such a waste.. I guess I would say if you were already enjoying the bags and you want to continue to do so - just do that. I think up-cycling/reworking your bag, as you said in your other comment - is also such a great idea! I think I'm going to use mine to keep toys/crafting things for my daughter when we are travelling. This way she can easily store and pull it out of our check-in luggage.. Something like that I'm so curious to see your reworked bag though! 😃💜

Just be aware that sometimes the pictures are of the authentic bag, but what you get is a fake. It happened to me on eBay. The seller was from Japan. Some of the fakes are pretty good. If you don't know what the leather supposed to feel like, or the stitching, etc., you may not know you have a fake. Also, smell the bag. If you smell plastic, it's not real.

ah good point about the pictures. Did you notice immediately that it wasn't the bag as pictured and were you able to get your money back?

@@SandySola Yes. I knew right away it was a fake. Just the smell was awful. The stitching was all wrong, the packaging, etc. I got my money back but now I have this fake bag, because the seller didn't want to pay to ship it back to Japan, and I don't know what to do with it.

oh wow.. well thankfully you got your money back! Same here.. I received this pink le pliage bag in a very cute pink color.. Unfortunately fake but I didn't get my money back.. Not sure what to do with the bag. I don't want to use it.. Also don't want to donate it.. but not sure what to do with it? Just throw it out I guess? Even though that also sounds like a waste of materials lol.. 😢 😭 What do you have in mind for yours?

@@SandySola I was thinking of maybe giving it to my friend's kid (she is 5) after airing it out in the sun for a week. But I am not sure if this is a right thing to do. The other alternative is to cut it into pieces and throw in the trash. Or use it to store my dust bags, after the smell dissipates. I am opened to suggestions.

I just up-cycled or pimping the bag by removing recognizable features like the flap, zipper pull logo off the zipper and replaced with other zipper pull. I leave the handles as it is. Also if I can take off the metal buttons on the bag I will put some embroidery, decorations what not to the bag as I like. Let our creative leads us the way, right. So it’s still serve as a tote bag and not need to throw out the window. Is a shame to waste resources and money. At the end of the day we’re left to make a unique bag for ourselves. Lessons learn from not investigate before buying. 😂😅
