I did my injectors this week, and I saw these while looking for help vids, I was going to buy the kit but it was too long delivery and I wanted to get it built back up yesterday, which I did. But I must admit, I did notice this and ‘nearly’ did it myself. But decided not to as I’m going back in to check how clean it is in the summer (as I’ve just decoked too while it was open too) so I’ll do it then, I certainly won’t be buying the kit now youve confirmed it for us all. seems like all you need to do is ensure there isn't a direct path from one runner to the next. if your comfortable relying on epoxy to seal the holes and to not work loose and make it's way into the head and/or cylinder and/or turbo turbine and/or cat, then go for it.

The holes will create turbulence in the airflow when it should be a smooth airflow. U could just cover them holes with a proper sealant 😂 how was the eBay kit any good ?

Hi Great video mate! Can you run it with mapping I got a code up anyway but I’m going to delete them I know il have a EML light but won’t damage nothing ?

Also will this cure my p2015 code?? I replaced the intake one time already..trying to fix this code.. Or do I need a "remapping " to fix the code aswell?

What’s the mileage on this at that time? Also with the flap delete didn’t you notice any difference?

150k miles and without remap it made an aeroplane engine sound for 10secd on cold start. With the stage 3 map it over boosts when cold ok when warm

I got a 08 Passat 2.0 t got the heads redone and white smoke is coming out the back

White smoke on a petrol could mean its burning antifreeze

Any check engine lights after those flap deletes?

It didn't but the was a cold start change. Car made a aeroplane laughing sound for about 10 s on cold start

@@sp88tips can i reuse from original intake those holders and just remove the flaps or i need to buy delete kit

You have to seal the holes to keep each port separate if if matters or not 100 per cent can't say@@Benko_DieseL

Sorry I don't speak Spanish. The cold start is very bad. It causes the the engine to choke I use use mid throttle. Clears in less than 3 minutes drive.

Can you help me? :D I have similar mods like you do (cold air intake and removed flaps, and down pipe. I tuned out flaps so i dont have check engine light but rest is still stock. I have problems with cold start and at idle i have random missfires like every couple of scnds, exhoust is farting :P Do you have the same? Oh! And what are yours fuel trims? thanks :3

I have a quick question regarding the removal... What happens to the position sensor for the swirl flaps on the intake manifold..? Do you just remove it or does it stay plugged in on the end..? Thanks!

@@sp88tips Oh, I assume by motor you mean, the one that powers the flap rotation..? On my car, and some 2.0 TFSI models, the flaps are actuated by a vacuum solenoid instead of a motor. In this case, the intake manifold has a small position sensor on the opposite end of the rail... Hence, I wonder what happens to this particular sensor.

I thought Finally, someone with a brain, making a vid about how stupid people delete their flaps, and that its a rip off. unfortunetly, his found an even worse hacky way of removing something thats detrimental to performance lol.

@@sp88tips Those flaps are there due to how TSI works, if you look at the top of the pistons, you they are designed that what so the flaps can tumble and swirl the air in a way, that it flows and ignites better due to the flaps changing the way the air is coming in. do you think if it was detrimental, VW till this day would keep using it. Rs6 and even R8's have them, do you think those people think about removing there flaps? its just so stupid. people remove things coz they dont understand it.

@canoaslan1011 hey I thought I replied already n just saw this again. You might be right, but the turbo pressure is way higher than standard now it may make a difference
