Até hoje eu me emociono com essa cena.

Tenho 43 anos, assisto à muitos filmes novos e retrô. Esse ai eu já vi várias vezes. Extrelado por Jon Voight - "Manny" , Eric Roberts - "Buck", Rebecca De Mornay - "Sara" e John P. Ryan - "Ranken" .O Manny é um personagem sábio e experiente, cançado da própria vida, arrependido e por fim determinado e forte em um objetivo: O de Ser livre, algo que ele não deixava de tentar, dificilmente errava nas palavras e nas atitudes, uma personificação bem humana e distante de anti-herois atuais, um personágem bem memorável. Uma excelencia de criação do papel pelo diretor e da atuação do próprio Ator. Runaway Train é um daqueles filmes que nunca saem da memória quando pensamos em filmes bons. Com certeza o final é um dos melhores. Não me lembro exatamente das palavras ditas, mas a cena em que o Manny paga pau pro Buck dizendo:..."Se voce puder ser livre, fugir da prisão, vai fazer ""isto e aquilo""... como se fosse a última coisa da sua vida" também é uma cena memorável, uma das cenas marcantes que eu vi no cinema. Tipo ensinando o cara mais a fazer o certo novo e não errar na vida para se arrepender depois e pagar por tudo como o próprio Manny. Acho que este filme foi injustiçado, porque ele só ganhou Globo de Ouro pela participação do Jon Voight como "Manny", embora o filme tenha concorrido a vários premios do Oscar na época. Existe vídeos e posts na Web que relatam este filme como um excelente filme, talvez os melhores da história do cinema, injustiçado pela mídia na época e que agora virou Cult e é valorizado. There's also the issue that uncoupling the locomotive with the coupling under load, to my understanding, wouldn't be possible - the coupler has to be slack to pull the pin out. But these are minor issues, at this point it's about the story being told. There might have been technical reasons they couldn't have run on a snowbound line, maybe safety issues, for the filming. Or you could assume that maybe there's still some industry down that line that is served occasionally, but past that the line ends. But the boarded up tunnel would imply it was completely abandoned. I know some tunnels have doors for ventilation system purposes, but not a tunnel that short.
