@@gjelbrim7281 I used to wonder why everybody shitted on her but her moves really don't do as much damage. Flame spray and stun gun are the only exceptions. I feel like her moves were better in the mercenaries 3D though Edit: she IS a medic and had 2 first aid sprays so I guess it does make sense for her to not be that strong

Here is the thing, her specials have the potential to rack up a perfect kill streak easily because of the range, and having access to fire damage does really well against any enemies that had Ourobouros pop out to say hello

If you thought RE5 had some good melee gameplay, wait until you see how RE6 did it. RE6's campaigns are a bit messy and bloated, but the Mercenaries experience in that game... my god, it's second to none. Make no mistake though, RE5's Mercenaries is still phenomenal and holds the very honorable silver medal here in my opinion.

@@Spykitty358 Yeah. RE5 and RE6 both get a lot of unnecessary hate because they deviate from the typical mold of Resident Evil survival horror more than RE4 did. However, RE4 while quite scary and very well done has no co-op unlike RE5 and RE6, and its Mercenaries mode, although by no means boring or uneventful, has a lot to be desired. RE 1, 2, 3 and 7 are all good if you're looking for classic old-school Resident Evil horror. RE 5 and 6 are good if you're looking for an action-tastic slaughterfest with a nice biopunk flavor and really smooth, satisfying gameplay. RE4 is good if you're looking for a balance between the two. BTW, I played 7 first on Stadia (RIP Stadia) and had to order several sets of new underwear by the time it was over, then played 4 on my Oculus Quest 2 after it got ported to VR, and had one hell of a good time. Once I get my new gaming PC to keep playing Destiny 2 post-Stadia, I'll see if I can play RE5 and RE6 via Steam, as all I've seen is gameplay footage of them, although they both look like so much fun with a friend.

Yeah, but remove the instakill, and it's not even coming close to the Hurricane.

It is an instakill only on 1 enemy (the one you perform it on), and it covers less area. For example you can instakill a chainsaw ganado and some regular ganados, but not 2 chainsaws at the same time. HUNK's neckbreaker is a better instakill move, it works on headshots rather than ankle shots, and has a 360° stun. Barry's hurricane is an instakill on the enemy you perform it on and an instakill on other high-hp enemies that get caught too, making it a multi-instakill large AOE melee, comparable to Krauser's plaga arm special strike.

Stun gun from Rebecca Chambers is just as powerful and seems slightly faster

Barry's hurricane is similar to zangief's cyclone attack and hagger's helicopter punch

Excella's weapon loadout is very powerful, so several melee attacks were made very weak (slap and backhand) in order to balance it out for those good guns. But yeah, humiliate and cross-slap attacks are also slaps, but they do good damage though. Still, my personal favorite mercenary from mercenaries reunion is Barry! Barry is my dude from RE1 Remake and RE Revelations 2, so it's nice to see an old, familiar face back in action!

How do you get the new move set? I’ve noticed when playing cooperatively, using certain characters ‘activates’ the move set for that game session such as Barry+Chris (Warrior)

@@edward6749 Yes that's how it works. Like when you're playing as Excella, you have to pair up with Rebecca or Sheva to get the Cross Slaps move.
