Hoof Ball and set-pieces is what we rely on with Moyes because he don’t have a plan b. I don’t know if that’s because he’s tactically inept or because of pride as to why he can’t/wont change it. Either way it’s poor. All it takes for the opposition to stop is to give us the ball and laugh at us for trying to play possession football (we can’t because Moyes can’t get them to simply pass and move) or just don’t give away set-pieces. We’ll lose Paqueta because he’ll wanna leave as he’s playing with he likes of Coufal, Soucek and Antonio which all waste his hard work and brilliance every single time by losing the ball because they’re dreadful footballers that panic and can’t play a simple pass. This isn’t reactionary, this isn’t panicking, this isn’t having a meltdown..it is simply stating what we’ve always known but it’s been masked as we’ve smash and grabbed wins and won a trophy where the only competition was Fiorentina (which we almost lost).

It's just annoying because in years to come, people are gonna see this scoreline and think that Villa absolutely destroyed us but really, they didn't! One goal was a penalty and the other 3 really were all due to mistakes from our players (Areola for the first goal as he should be saving that, Kudus and Areola for the third goal as Kudus should be controlling that and Areola shouldn't be beaten at his near post and Aguerd for the 4th goal because he should have done his homework on Bailey n known he was left-footed) so really, I believe it's a very flattering scoreline actually! Yes, Villa were better than us Much better actually I know that, I'm not denying that at all And yes, Villa deserved to win the match but I think maybe 2-1 or 3-1 is more appropriate 4-1 is flattering and doesn't really truly reflect the match imo 4-1 suggests that we were absolutely awful but I don't actually think we were, we weren't THAT bad it's just individual mistakes and stupid decisions (looking at you, Lucas) that cost us unfortunately Anyway, I hope we don't let this affect us too much because we've got another big European night on Thursday against Olympiacos #COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️
