@@silverflames5860 Truth. He's like a terminator on those breakaways. Lewandowski is one of the kings of the pop in and would probably have worked out well for City's style, but is/was nowhere near as dangerous as Haaland on bull rush. That stride and deadly left foot from range.

Maybe because City doesnt change tactics during the game. Brentford had 10 players stacked in defence and City continued to play their posession play and slowed down every attack so that Brentford players got back in defence in time, instead of using Haaland in quick turnovers from time to time like Liverpool and Arsenal does against those teams. You cant acore many goals when you play the ball sideways instead of forward as City does way too much.

They need to use Haaland much more, simple, so that he gets involved more and get the feel of the ball. When he hasnt touch the ball almost and suddenly gets it, its way harder to score. And instead of keeping the ball in posession way too long and pass sideways so the opponent gets back in defence., they need to play the ball quicker forward to Haaland like they did on the goal. They alwqys wait until Haaland has 2-3 defenders around him. This season Haaland has gotten very poor distribution and supply., and its no exccuse that KDB has been injured cause they play for City so they should be able to make a simple pass forward much quicker. City is very predictable with their posession play. To bring up those two situations is ridicilous. Thats not where the problem lays.

I guess YOU dont watch the games. He had to be a link up the whole game which he did very well. He didnt give the ball away once. But Haaland shhouldnt have to play with his back against thr goal. He needs the ball in front of him, not behind him. He got one ball he could run at and he scored. City plays this boring posession play and slows down every attack when they can play Haaland much quicker. Their posession play made Brentford get back in defence. What else could Haaland have done? Djeez. Give him the ball and he will score..but they cant wait until he has 3 defenders around him. Thats obvious. Maybe you should start watching the game and not just think Haaland should score 3-4 goals every game, even when h doesnt get a single pass.

@@torgeirgimmingsrud2439 Its very weird. Why did Pep buy Haaland if he isnt going to use him the way he is best. He could have bought someone else then if he was after a link-up player. I also find it strange in games they have trouble scoring because its packed in the opponents defence and they cant break through with their posession play, that he doesnt change it and try those quick break through passes to Haaland, like Liverpool and Arsenal does. It doesnt mean he should do it all game, but at least a few times when they have an opporuniy to play Haaland through, before the defen is organized and there is no room to play the ball. I never see Arsenal or Liverpool slow down every attack when they have an opportunity to storm through an unorganized defence.. So what if they lose the ball from time to time. You wont succeed with anything if you dont try. Gundogan also saw Haaland and played him through and I believe that BOBB, if he could play behind Haaland. would also be able to play the ball quick through to Haaland, cause he has vision, like KDB. Those passes needs to come when Haaland only has one defender to challenge and when he starts his runs. Alvarez also slows down the play usually or just shoots from hopeless positions. Pep is way too stubborn and I believe that has cost City points in those games they havent been able to score (enough). I totally understand Haaland’s frustration. Some games he hardly touch the ball and then he gets the ball in a good position but misses cause he hasnt gotten the feel of the ball and someyimes not even touched the ball. Its not easy being ignored all game and everyone demand you to score when you get that one chance. I dont get why Pep doesnt want to use Haaland more when he is a proven goalscorer and why Pep is so obsessed by using him as a link up. They hardly used him as a link up at Dortmund and he scored almost everytime he got a ball in front of him there. Ciy has other players who can linkup. Haaland should be used the way he is the best. It cant be that difficult to tell the players from time to time to look up and see if Haaland is on a run and play him quick. Its a mystery why he is so stubborn, especially in games they struggle to score. Do somehing about it!
