Good effort and couple of great goals. If Sunderland can play so well against top flight opposition then I think the only team in the championship that can stop them are themselves. My twopenneth for the run in: Play Bennette from the start with Diallo in a 4-4-2. That way Clarke and Bennette can switch roles in addition to the great understanding between Diallo and Roberts. It might take a while for them to gel in the middle but would be very difficult to defend against on both flanks. Use Gelhardt for impact off the bench which he is proven at but not leading the line just yet.

Fantastic effort and you can see all the lads playing for each other and are all in it together… never say die attitude can get you far and get you points you’d not get.If we’d had a focal point up top we’d have got something out of this game and we’d be sitting right behind Burnley and Sheff Utd I’d like to have seen those two teams go as long without a striker as us and see where they’d lie ????

Done themselves proud! If we had 2 decent strikers all season we'd be flying at the top of the league without a doubt👍
