I was stuck on a bus that morning, on my way to the Lincoln Tunnel, when they stopped all traffic from entering NYC. A whole day and night and more we sat on that highway until they got us turned around (they had men digging and clearing the meridian for us) when all of a sudden 100's of neighbors who lived by the highway ALL CAME OUT AND BROUGHT EVERYONE WATER, SANDWICHES, NEWS..They were our heroes too! I'll never forget those kind, beautiful ppl either! Thank you to all! 🇺🇸

I love how Heather is constantly trying to maintain the discipline of respect for the General's rank but then their shared bond simply as pilots on that day kicks in and she slips into referring to him with his call sign. It's like they're back in their cockpits side by side in those moments. Much respect to both of them.

@@ricksanchez5147no offense, but we all heard the passengers bum rush the cockpit in the tapes. No passengers saw another plane because they were on their phones with loved ones. Someone would have seen them coming. In the tapes, you can hear them getting ready to crash. And did you ever see a plane like that crash that had sped up to intentionally crash? The crash site looked completely in keeping with that scenario. They were going at a ridiculous speed, so it wouldn't be surprising for an engine to come apart. There was a crater where they had hit, and of course things going at that speed and angle are going to create a massive debris field, sending out projectiles everywhere. We met Penny at a small airport near DC before 9/11. This little girl, looks to be 16, pulls up in a pickup, ties her dog to the truck, and heads out to her hand-propped Tailor Craft airplane. It's getting dark but she wanted to get in some touch and go's. We played with the dog while she did a bunch of patterns. Was pretty dark by the time she quit. Turns out this "16 year old" was the F16 weapons system instructor for the Air National Guard. Nicest person ever. Had dinner with her at her friends house. Lost touch over the years but I always think of her on 9/11 and thank her for her efforts. I hope she sees this. We were the couple towing the helicopter. N7064D.

My boyfriend was in the AirForce when this occurred; he was a night crew airchief for KC 135 Type R's. His shift was from 11-7. He had just gotten off work, showered, turned his ringer off and laid down. When he woke up he had over 25 missed calls and his answering machine was FULL. His 1st 3 calls were from a superior in the AF, then 3 calls from me telling him in detail what had been occuring in New York, then all the other calls were from other friends on base, other superiors, and family. 😢 He was deployed by Oct. 30th, 2001, he was a mid-air refueler for F-16's, F-18's and stealths. He was deployed 3 months the 1st time. The 2nd deployment was a few months after that for 5 months, then a 3rd deployment for 3 more months. He was in the Air Force for 4 years, then was in the Reserves for 4 years and attendee college. We are no longer together but hes a great man. His name is Corey. If he sees this post... just know your a great guy and you deserve the world. Thank you for your service. SJS ❤

You can't even wrap your mind around the simple reality that the pilots are heroes alongside the first responders. What's the point if you can't understand that? Hell, the line where you say "the military didn't have anyone to fight, these terrorists were technically civilians no other militaries" is just so absurd on so many levels, and shows that you don't even understand why we needed fighter jets in the air *on 9/11* (amongst many other things). I'm Ex-Navy, served a combat tour in Iraq with the Marines, and even I'm in awe of the bravery of these two pilots, those on flight 93, and the many other hero's that day that gave their life - and were willing to make the make the ultimate sacrifice that day to protect Americans. Like "Lucky" said during the interview, the military doesn't train us to go on suicide missions. But these two had balls of steel, and I'm even honest enough to admit that I'm not so sure if I would've had the resolve to ram my jet into another. Would I have done it? I'd like to say I would have, but I def. would've thought about it twice before committing. I can't say thank you enough to them for their bravery and courage on being able and ready to pay the ultimate price to keep others safe. You are true hero's, and every American is forever grateful for having people of your character and bravery - to keep us safe.

@@CharltonHarley I actually heard an interview of Lucky way back close to 9/11. They said the same thing then. The story just never made it to the mainstream. I was so proud of her and Sasse and the Air Guard and all the commercial pilots and air traffic controllers that day. Over 2,000 flights were safely landed without incident. It was an amazing feat. I'm proud to be an American and blessed to have people like these as my fellow countrymen.

A big part of that discontent is we had a president who attempted to overthrow our democracy because he lost the election. And not only was he not instantly detained the same as we would a terrorist, half of the voting populace are trying to help him get away with it. All while he’s publicly stating that if he avoids prosecution and wins the next election that he fully intends on exacting revenge on everyone who has tried to hold him accountable. I don’t think that can be reconciled. Ever.

And another paid one here -- What was fantastic about an interview that's story has yet to be verified. In order to believe this tale, one has to believe that our entire Air Force and Missile Defense Office was sleeping or out to lunch???? The USAF has ARMED planes 24-7 over the US airspace - furthermore no high level decision maker would sacrifice two pilots and their expensive planes when one phone call to the MDA would be made to use a surface to air missile to bring down the plane - Penney is peddling this story and getting paid to do so, yet curiously, our Media doesn't display one ounce of interest in investigating her tale - not one bit. This is nothing more than a concocted feel-good girl power (Saving Private Ryan) story playing on the patriotism of the American people. I'm sure a movie-deal is in the making😁😁😂😂

Let's hope you verified their story instead of blindly believing a tale that is so riddled with holes that even Stevie Wonder could see through it. You mean to tell me that two pilots were willing to sacrifice themselves while the World's largest and most technolgically advanced Air Force idly sat by with it's armed aircraft or our Missile Defense Agency didn't exist which can bring down any object in a matter of minutes???? Talk about ignorant

Brother no one born at right path this is not the God law there are thousand of religion in the world every one say we are at right path and other all wrong but remember the right path is only one not thousands. When you will start your research then God will necessary show you the right path. Holy quran will give you so strong argument about every matter and your mind will accept it you will never found even one verse of holy quran which is against the science. Holy quran give the example of jesus like Adam both was born without father. Holy quran says jesus mother was maryam and she was the daughter of imran and the sister of haroon these all are human beings. Holy quran says jesus and her mother was eaten the meal this is also a sign of human being. Brother jesus came from her mother glutton can God exist in women stomach? If jesus is God then who is the god of adam, because he born before jesus? Jesus use washroom in his life, can God do it? I have also leave my firqa because muslims are divided into different sect and every sect have there own belief which is against the Holy quran.
