😢 god bless Brokaw. I’m 52, Canadian, but always admired his work and obviously witnessed many of the big moments he took the world through. So glad to have seen this. Maddow is a genius. Cooper deeply interesting. Brokaw a legend.

What I heard here is: people were exposed, then Let Go... Like: oh well, nothing to be done about that. Where is Justice? What's Wrong with People? Reminds me of someone coming to view a house for sale and going on about the furniture... the furniture isn't for sale! LOOK At What You're Here For! People seem to have attention spans of a toddler and those in power Use that... and They have the same affliction! EWWW, Money, Power!! Get Me Some of That!! It doesn't matter we're poisoning the earth for human habitation, nobody lives forever anyway!! Merry friggin Christmas all. Go forth, spend lotsa money.

True words from Mr Brokaw. We DO need to find middle ground on many things. Social programs need to be pushed higher in importance AND we have to find the funding and not just keep running up the “credit card”…
@kw4753
@kw4753 7 ай бұрын
Not running up a credit card requires THE PEOPLE TO STOP SPENDING WHAT YOU DONT HAVE! ALL working age people need to get jobs and pay taxes which fund programs. Every single illegal immigrant, welfare dependent, and questionable disabled etc make up a large majority of problems.

Sure and the wealthy paying their share. If the very wealthy paid all of their taxes, shared company profit with their workers? The line of people begging to work for them would be huge. The very wealthy are not investing in our schools, communities. They are buying over priced Real Estate, ridiculous planes, yachts, fences. Many young people are uninspired because housing, even rents are ridiculously overpriced. Many jobs won't cover the rent but whine about no one can afford to work for you.🙄

@@kw4753 and the wealthy who write everything off and pay little to nothing? Do they not owe a debt to the community that supports them?
@silva7493
@silva7493 7 ай бұрын
@@kw4753 Do you know the amount the Donald's tax handout to billionaires is estimated to cost the US? According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, between 2018 and 2027 it will be adding 1.9 trillion dollars to the deficit. In the first year after Trump signed the legislation (one of the very first things he set out to accomplish as "President" in 2017), 82 ultra-wealthy households collectively walked away with more than $1 billion in total savings. Don't lecture us formerly middle-class Americans about the long lost American dream as it slips away, as we lose everything we've worked all of our lives for. Don't tell us how it's all because of poor people.
@selah71
@selah71 7 ай бұрын
When the economy boomed in the 1950's the wealthiest paid 90% in taxes, then dropped to around 50%. Reagan gave huge tax cuts to them and every Republican has given further tax cuts with Trump giving the most. All these tax cuts for the wealthy have ADDED trillions to the "credit card". Bezos, who paid zero in federal tax dollars, could have given every single Amazon employee a $100,000 bonus and still been a multi billionaire, (just to give you a clue on how much money "billions" are). On average, today the wealthiest pays around 8%, an absolute joke. The government should raise taxes to 50% and THAT would greatly lower the deficit and still have plenty for society. It would be a great equalizer for people leaving little room for division. It wouldn't hurt the wealthy one bit. They'd still travel, own yachts, mansions, have their maids, gardeners, vacation homes, expensive cars, private jets, and chefs, etc, without any noticable change in their lifestyles. The downside would be them going through greed withdrawal.

We need DENTAL CARE to be included in MEDICARE A and MEDICARE B because it is MEDICAL CARE. We have spent trillions on wars and funding wars all over the world but we do not have HEALTHCARE FOR ALL AMERICANS. FOR THIS WE NEED TO SET UP SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MEDICAL DOCTORS, DENTISTS, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS and NURSES, BASED ON NEED, TO BE PAID BACK BY COMMUNITY SERVICES INSTEAD OF STUDENT LOANS. OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY BROKEN BY THE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN PROPAGANDA INSTEAD OF OF READING, WRITING, CIVICS, ARITHMATIC and CRITICAL THINKING MUCH EARLIER THAN COLLEGE. NOT RIGHT OR LEFT BUT IN THE MIDDLE and Verified by history and historians. WE NEED TO HELP AND RESTORE OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM ON THE BRINK OF DESTRUCTION.

America in 2015 voted to head down the same path as the Nazi's in 1930's with the election of a popular but corrupt rich man. It became obvious with his failure to accept the responsibility of guiding American through a global health threat. Instead of accepting the reality of Covid-19 and the disruption of the narrative he wanted for his presidency, he decided to just call the whole thing a hoax. When his advisors warned him that Joe Biden was doing well in the polls, he began listening to advisors plots in case he lost. Instead of firing or discouraging them, he encouraged them to come up with plans to let him stay in office permenently. He had found his dream - to be a King.

Comparing Project 2025 to what happened in Venezuela with Hugo Chávez, it's like looking at a similar plan. Chávez had a strategy called the "Bolivarian purge”. The plan was also founded in 4 pillars, as well as this alleged Project 2025: Administrative, social, political and economical ; to where he replaced people to make sure everyone supported his way of thinking. This pattern isn't limited to one ideology and can hide behind ideas like "Christianity" or "nationalism." The problem is when this plan becomes deeply rooted, making it really hard to stop. If we let it happen, it might be too late for our country. The message here is simple: Put the country first, not political parties! Our strength as a nation is more important than following one person blindly. If something feels wrong, it probably is. So, let's think carefully and prioritize our country over political loyalties to protect the goodness of our nation.
