I understand the recessed doors and windows. They are actually less exposed and warmer. I like the weather wood look. Even did the vinyl on old wagonner with weathered wood and have weathered wood tile in bathroom.

And if you go to Sweden, you will mostly not see double top plates, instead you see 1 top plat and one 7-8" recessed vertically to all load bearing studs. And that might be double if the span (due to windows or doors) get to wide. That removes the need for jack studs. You will seldom see load carrying beams lower down in the wall, like just on top of windows.

I'm not so sure that cladding is pine. I think it might be larch. Looks good, either way.

Interesting to see Cement Board over the exterior foundation insulation. Personally working with a custom cement/glass board manufacturer to design and make some panels for my build. Great to see this is not an "out of the box" idea!

There's no fasteners on the field of the gypsum board? Maybe not "nailed off" yet?

I have always been taught that we need plywood or OSb on the exterior stud walls to deal with the entire building racking and twisting. I do not see how they can control this with gyp board. I know they may have an interior shear wall but that will not prevent twisting on the exterior. You could do it with exterior steel cross braces like we did with let in wood diagonals 100 years ago??
