Son realmente extraordinarios, no me canso de escucharlos. Músicos de excepcional calidad. Esta música la escucho desde pequeño tenía un tío en Valparaíso que tenía un conjunto en esa fecha muy bueno, se llamaba Quinteto América. Cuando ensayaban yo estaba en primera fila escuchando sus interpretaciones. Inolvidable hoy a mis 80 años los recuerdo con nostalgia y este conjunto me los trae muy fielmente a la memoria.

Eb Soprano Cornet... You don't see those very often, this side of the pond. Playing a Bb cornet is like driving a Cadillac. Playing an Eb Cornet is Like pushing the pick-up truck, up a fkn hill. I Have a Yamaha Eb Soprano cornet. It makes the most beautiful sound I ever made on any horn, of any make or model. My extensive kudos to the cornetist!

Yeah you're right! 😮 On second look😊 But it sure has the same shape as my Eb soprano. I have five horns 1 trumpet and four cornets that are from different eras and are all shaped different.

An excellent interpretation of the "Dixieland" style within the wonderful world of Jazz, although a trombone and clarinet would take it closer to the true 'Dixie' sound. It's a pity that the players are not credited with their names and we must assume that the band is run, and led, by the drummer who solos on every number except the three slow ones - something I've never heard before at any Jazz session (Gene, Chick nor any of the other drummer-bandleaders ever did that!). Nice cheerful music, however and we look forward to the future 'live' presentations! Un'eccellente interpretazione dello stile "Dixieland" nel meraviglioso mondo del Jazz, sebbene un trombone e un clarinetto lo avvicinerebbero al vero suono di "Dixie". È un peccato che i musicisti non siano accreditati con i loro nomi e dobbiamo presumere che la band sia diretta e guidata dal batterista che suona gli assoli su tutti i numeri tranne i tre lenti - qualcosa che non ho mai sentito prima in nessuna sessione jazz (Gene, Chick né nessun altro batterista-bandleaders l'hanno mai fatto!). Bella musica allegra, tuttavia, e non vediamo l'ora che arrivino le future presentazioni "live"!
