Like, seriously. Ethanol and water just mix with each other, how are you going to seperate them? I mean you could use salt, but you still end up with one salt water phase, and one ethanol phase which still carries both, the chloropyhl and the cannabinoids. So I call that BS

It what I do and it comes out perfect every time, beautiful Amber color, people think they get more if they soak it for hours they just get more junk.

@@jbob3744 I do 5 minutes and get amber shatter but I use the 99.9% USP isopropyl and have everything at -40F the whole time. Then i make warm RSO as a second run and make dank edibles.

The quicker the wash, the better the final product, what about getting out fats and lipids?

How do I kno if all the isopropyl is gone I put the rso in oil it looks like tar it's gooey but I hears to get a lil bit and light it with fire and if it catches fire then it still has some but I think it's bull shit I hit it with my heat gun and it starts but I think I'm just burning it bubbling

Yeah, but you didn't use food grade/medical acetone. You don't want residual acetone in your body.

@@IlusysSystems Maybe you can order it on the internet? I find cooling alcohol in the freezer also works but I was thinking about chilling it in a dry ice and acetone/isopropyl bath. Should work wonders. You really don't need to add all that heat to strip the resin, alcohol will strip over 90% of the resin within the first few minutes. Also maybe the butane doesn't absorb the 'resins' because they aren't entirely non polar as they all have a hydroxyl group. When the butane hits the ethanol the temperature drops drastically and it will become more non polar so that may be why the goodies prefer to stay in the ethanol! It may be a little confusing because BHO is a very clear oil with very little chlorophyll, but thats only because the butane doesn't penetrate the cell walls to acces the chlorophyll. Very interesting procedures anyways I really enjoyed watching.

Trim, old bud, homegrown hang dried, recently picked colas and everything else not worth smokin.. I've made a very reliable BHO tube with shut off valves for each end that accommodate 8+ layers of coffee filter. Slowly filling the chamber with. Butane releasing pressure a few times to get more butane liquid in the weed material. (Assuming liquid butane + pressure=better yeald) 110 degrees Farenheit max purge followed by a week of sitting in a low dust/draft area. Room temperature Dark with little high I thought the lack of oxygen was the high . I've learned to dissolve the "wax" in everclear for 2 days in freezer then separate with syringes... I get material on top and bottom of a clear everclear middle. Should/could I use everclear differently by putting into the blasting chamber a couple tablespoons everclear just Before butane?. (Feel free to ridicule me if this all sounds moronic). Do you have any suggestions other than buying "equipment". I live in a retrofitted tiny home and have 12v power supply not 110. Super efficient freezer constant. Other tha a 20ton press "dry sift" situation I dont have the time to operate. I'm at a loss as to what to do with all of this material... @@IlusysSystems that’s because the oily extracts are the part you don’t want to extract when attempting to yield hash oil, particularly, in theory, a live resin type extract. I’d rather smoke cannibidol oils than butane or propane impurities, even in trace amounts.

TLC analysis would be good idea to do here, but I did not have any plates.. dunno maybe in future I would have to do this again, so I will look at this method more closely

@@IlusysSystems think what you want but dont fool people the type of UV is UV , los 10000 nm (4x10−7 m) y los 689075 nm (1,5x10−8 m..... THC on UV is the most efective degradation system , i guess think too smart and think nobody mind abaout that already , enjoy your concetrate with extrametacarpenes and destroyed thc molecules with extra celulose, but dont teach to poison people themselves
