I can't help but feel as though the mother is talking out of jealousy and anger. She realized that she made a mistake pursing a career (which is a good thing tho) and abandoning her daughter. The mother sees that woo young woo grew up outstanding, and moreso that she defends her father and wants to stick with him and that makes the mother angry. Why? Because the mother does not respect the father. She does not understand the sacrifices he made to care for the daughter or how much effort he put in to create that relationship with woo young woo. Also she disrespects him because she does not understand why he gave up pursuing his career in law, she sees him as the same poor boy from the past. The fact that woo young woo does not resent the mother, makes her feel like she can continue to act selfishly to the father. She does not want to disappoint woo young woo, hence the reason she is asking the father ( whom she does not respect or care about/ perhaps she does but can't bring herself to apologize for how she treated him so she masks her apologies with disrespect) to take her and move, she can't bring herself to say such words to her own daughter. I would not say the worst because I have seen way worst that her in many dramas. .And yes I am commenting after watching the whole drama. She is selfish without any doubt ,but someone who is more under pressure of the society , and to make her family be good in front of society. And she doesn't hate woo but had feelings for her and love her but her selfish goals are bigger than her love for woo. Hope her character gets better with season 2 , and we could get more of woo and her mom and brother scenes
