As part of our #extraordinarypeople celebration, meet Bradley. As a NHS Healthcare Assistant, he shares with us the role he played during the pandemic this Public Service Day.
To Bradley, public service is “the things we take for granted, the things people do for the betterment of a people or a nation, no matter where you are, who you love, how much money you’ve got, it’s the roles we create for the greater good.”
Public Service Day was launched by the United Nations in 2003 to celebrate the contribution those in the public sector and civil service make to our society. Since 2003, the day has barely been acknowledged in the UK. But more than ever, it’s so important to recognise the work our public services do and the difference they make to us all. They could use all our support for this Public Service Day on 23 June.
