Mate I grew up in a house just round the corner from there in cartworth. Rode up and down that lane every day on a yammy Dtr 125, used to love it. Guy in house at bottom used to hate me riding my bike up and down all day long hah. Great ride mate.

That is truly a most beautiful part of our country. I thought you were wimping out at first, and then I saw how loose and steep it actually is. You would be surprised how well you can control the speed going down loose stuff. A good way to practice is progressively use the front brake harder on the safe flat bits to get a feel for when it's going to slide, and just use the engine braking to keep the back in shape. The new 250 sadly has ABS which takes most of the control from the rider, but you can work around it 👍

Thanks buddy yes I love the backdrop and it’s pretty much on my doorstep. I am very new to off roading and sadly the little bullit has gone now as want to get something abit bigger which probably shows my confidence improving 👍👍

That track you went down where you spoke to the guy with the dog, I went up about 5 years ago in my 4x4 works van, (I was looking after those reservoirs at the time) , and I absolutely s**t myself at the time, it really is a steep, technical track. Notice they've put posts at the entrance to stop folk, shame.

Wow, yeah is bad the camera doesn’t give it any justice. The posts at the other end made me think it was closed off as tried from that side before. I think it’s just local residents who have done that as a way to stop the 4x4s 👍

Yes they were just the stock tyres. Great off road but bit sketchy on roads in the wet 👍🏼👍🏼

How’s the reliability and longevity of this little bike?

I only had the bike for a year but did put it through some extreme off road situations. Never had any issues with it whatsoever. Only thing is it is hard to get parts but think its because the bike is relatively new so may change. Thanks for comment 👍👍
