My dad was a hard worker like you. When we were kids, him and my mom built our family home. My dad put so many hours and manual labor into that home when he wasn't at work. He saw the little details like you. He bought bricks that were from an old road and made our patio, laid stones for a pathway out front, built a play set before they were something you could buy at a store. He put in a huge in ground pool with the help of my uncles and friends. It was a home where the extended family gathered for every holiday. My aunts and uncles would come over on weekends to play cards and all the cousins would just run around playing for hours and hours. In other words, he created a place that have memories I will cherish until I am gone. My dad passed away last year and I will always be grateful for the home, a true home, he gave us. You are that dad. I hope you realize that when your kids are grown and have their own kids and grandkids like me, these moments you are creating will be the best gift a parent can give. Trust me.

That looks really nice. I have been toying with doing an addition with either an indoor pool or a swim spa like that. One of my colleagues has one but I have never used it myself. I am still leaning more towards a pool and hot tub though over the swim spa even though the swim spa is significantly cheaper.
