You might be able to dye your curtains with tea or coffee to get that earthy color your looking for without leaving the house. Love the green :)

Ooh, you know what I think would look awesome? A strand of white lights in your tree in the corner and maybe your hanging plant (Christmas lights would work, with green wire so it blends)... I have that in my living room, and it's so pretty.

You could tea-dye or coffee-dye the curtains to reach that "natural" tone you were taking about.. If you're replacing them anyway it won't matter too much if it doesn't; work out, but I think it could look very attractive. Love the green.

My aunt is a very crafty quilt maker, mostly primitive style. She takes old pendleton plaid wool fabric, washes it so it becomes felt like and over dyes the fabric. She will also over dye cotton and linen fabrics, using RIt but also uses walnut, indigo, natural dyes. I have a charcoal gray sofa from world market with removable cotton slip covers and I dyed it using RIT black and created a multi tonal effect. I am new to the Lone Fox channel, a year later after the beginning of the pandemic. I am about to transform my bed room after I wade through the clutter. Beautiful transformation!

Just an FYI, if you didn’t know; paint desks can actually do a “color match” so they could’ve taken your paperbag sample && put it in the machine to pull the color! 💚

I was thinking this too...you have great curtains that you can reuse by just changing the color...just like paint changes the walls. I like Just Sayin’s suggestion of using tea or coffee...that would look great!

A little tip for painting- when you’re using the roller, if you go slower but make your strokes longer it’ll reduce the likelihood of paint speckles getting everywhere. It also makes for a more seamless and even coat 😊

A tip I learned after many years of painting. If you want to ensure a truly crisp line, first cut in along with the color you are against. Like if your painting a green square on a wall that is white, you paint along the tape with the white because that is the color that will leak under the tape. Let that dry, then paint the green or whatever color you choose. After its dry or partly dry take off the tape. Works great! I've tried all the tape, I've never found one that was perfect. You could also try using a flat poly if you don't have the base color.

I love how you just go for it!!! I’m so paralyzed with fear that if I paint something I’ll mess it up and it won’t be “perfect” and then I’ll have a panic attack/meltdown!!! I know I need to get past this but I’ve been like this all my life. I admire you so much for just doing things and you aren’t scared!

Love the room make over as usual and great you did it all with what you have. I’m clothing upcycler all my life, 50 plus years. When I want a new outfit I go into my closet and grab 2 or 3 things and sew them into one! All my clothing is bought at thrift, most of my life. Poor equals creativity. But I’m 5”3”. Step stools are part of my life always! I have a toddlers one step for the kitchen! Ha! I finally found a vintage Cosco (not the store I think) brand 40s counter stool, fill out step stool. They have wood version that are a sit down chair and step stool. Amish made on those.

They used to have a show on HGTV where they would re-make a livingroom, bedroom etc etc with just the items they have around the house or in storage or whatnot. YOU should do that! ..i think you'd be great at that, besides ...i really miss that show! lol

I use procreate for all the hand drawn elements and I use Final Cut Pro for everything else!
