Car safety regulations require vehicles to go through some of the most rigorous safety and crash tests before they can be approved to go on production. From Fords to Ferraris and everything in between, in this episode of Xplained we take a look at the extreme safety tests manufacturers have to go through to release a new car into the market.

In the future they should make a test where if a vehicle thinks a crash will occur it will take necessary precautions. One when we were on vacation in California, we were driving down a highway in the middle lane, and there was a truck on the right of us, something happened in the rightmost lane and in the end, a Toyota 4runner got pit maneuvered by the semi truck and almost crashed into us, so maybe something like if your driving next to a big vehicle that makes your vehicle go slower or have sensors mounted on the very bottom of the vehicle to monitor what's going on, on the other side of a big rig.

Much of this is hurting the people driving their vehicles. Here in Norway the death rates has gone down for decades, but for the first time death rates has gone up, and in scary rates. The big screens of the dashboard is taking focus off the road. Even worse if all the the heater and temp is hidden int the menue and you need to scroll through several things. In a 70s or 80s car you did know where all the knobs were located, even blindfolded or in the dark. Lack of driving skills is showing up these days as more and more people has trouble driving through snow or ice conditions.

Since the year 2000, more Americans have died in car crashes than in both world wars put together.And its the leading cause of death among teenagers in the US, accounting for more than one third of all teen fatalities. If you like driving fast, but don't want a lifetime subscription to "Prison Life" magazine ,there are numerous race tracks around the country that allow amateur drivers to compete in a variety of racing events..

Its shame they dont tested in high speeds 100+mph thats why people die nobody is fucking going 35mph before a huge inpact sometimes you dont now what a car was it,or even splits in multiple pieses.
