In this episode of Ashley's Aggressively First World Problems™, I deep clean my closet. But this isn't just any closet cleanout - I'm going full send Marie Kondo on this baby. I try on everything in my closet from my dresses to jeans to t-shirts, sort through my definitely-too-large collection of aspirational athleisure and semi-aspirational lingerie, and even throw in a couple satisfying decluttering timelapses. I'm using the classic keep, sell, donate, alter, and throw away method, and then organizing my closet so I finally don't have to dig through a pile of clothes every morning to get dressed.

i am still, to this day, SO devastated that she got rid of that beautiful red hunger games oscars dress. like she says the whole video she would only keep something if she really loved it, and that dress just seemed to bring her so much joy i- i don't know why she decided not to keep it :( also she got nominated for a streamy and literally went to new york fashion week!!! i wish she had kept it and i just really hope that she doesn't regret getting rid of it now,, bc wOW that was a GORGEOUS dress

i basically had this idea where i would clean out my whole closet and put everything i didnt wear in a big box and have a month without those clothes and if at the end of that month i realised that i really liked one thing and wanted to wear it then i would keep it. it helped me get rid of the stuff that i dont need and keep the stuff i really love :)

Christin K she lives in LA and went to UCLA and was allowed to major in film studies... she’s probably as well off as most families that send their kids to expensive colleges in expensive cities in CA. But CA has even richer people, so those people are just middle class and at best can afford their house and send three kids off to college without taking massive loans, which is why we don’t think we’re rich bc it costs so much to live here and maybe get a place and start a family, not to mention supporting your parents. Chemists don’t make a lot actually, a PhD guarantees nothing. If you’re in research or even in a regular pharmaceutical company (not the richest biggest ones) doing quality control testing for Big Pharma clients, you’re not making that much. Maybe like 50-60k if you’re lucky. I loved chem but I knew I wouldn’t make money getting a chem or bio or biochem degree + PhD, so instead I went into the medical field.
