I am a Louisiana girl but I moved to Michigan in 2016 and then to Texas in Feb 2022! I have been married since May 2007 to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 beautiful toddler girls who make things crazy but bring so much color into our lives. I hope you will stick around and we can get to know each other better! =)

How do you feel about homemaking this summer & what are your summer plans?

Vacation will be beach, amusement parks, aquarium. I have to go thru kid's bedroom for outgrown clothes and deep clean. Need to do same for my room. So this declutter is perfect timing. ❤

Fun video. I learned as an adolescent that I was a born homemaker. I thoroughly enjoy every moment of it. Even when I worked at the hospital I kept a clean and organized home. Now that I'm retired I still enjoy it. My daughter says I'm cleaning a clean house. But I see it as maintaining what I've worked so hard for. Just my two cents. I hope you guys had a blast camping. ❤❤

Hey friend! You did an amazing job! Your talk about homemaking really resonated with me. I wasn't one of those girls who always wanted to get married, have kids, and become a homemaker, but when I did I wanted to do it with excellence. I am the same way as you and whatever work I'm doing I like to do my best. It was how I was raised. I have now gone through all the stages as my kids are all young adults, and looking back I have no regrets staying home and I feel like I really thrived! I have loved all aspects of homemaking! Look forward to seeing you organize this space! Thanks for sharing!💗

Thanks Joy! I am FINALLY feeling as though I am "coming into my own" and learning to love homemaking! It really is so freeing! I really enjoy a clean and tidy home, though it has taken a Long time to get to that, I am enjoying where I am now! =)

Wow! That room looks amazing! Great job mama! What you said about homemaking made complete sense to me! That’s how I feel about the work I do in my home and the things I do for my family. It’s my JOB and I try to take pride in it. I love it when people come into my home and say how nice it looks or mention that is smells good. I feel even more pride when people say things about how well my children behave in public and when their teachers say how much they love having them in class. Those are like my performance reviews! 😂😂😂 I think I need to explain that to my husband and my kids. They don’t like helping with chores and they get annoyed when I spend my down time cleaning and organizing but it makes me happy and I enjoy it. I want to be proud of the work I do in my home. Thank you for touching on that. Now I’m all fired up again! We are going to tackle some projects around the house and do some decluttering over summer break. It’s too hot here in Arizona in July to be doing a whole lot outside so we will be in the air conditioning decluttering our house. My husband will retire from the air force in 2 years and we will be moving to our forever home hopefully. I want to move with as little as possible with a family of 6.

@@ChristinasHome I totally agree! We are raising these tiny humans to be the next generation and whether or not my kids want to be homemakers, they need to know how to do all of the things I do plus be good people.

You are so welcome! I am so glad it spoke to you! I am convinced we (moms) all go through the same things, just at different times in our lives! =) Best of luck with the move! That is so exciting! It will feel so weird at first, but you will fall in love with being able to be home with them & eventually you will wonder how you ever had time for a job outside the home! haha!

A suggestion: You have a large wall behind you. Maybe consider hanging up your husband’s drawings that are important to you, before they get damaged in a closet. Also, you will have more closet space. Good luck. I enjoy listening to you.

Thank you! =) We did have a few hanging in a previous home, but most of the ones against that wall are unfinished (most were intended as gifts for others but never finished) Sadly I don't think that he will ever find the time to finish them! I am one of the many who found you through your last video. 😊 I really like to watch decluttering and organising videos. 11 minutes inn, you talk, and it is hard to hear what you say. Is it a option to have a voice-over when there is much background noise? The same about music in the background. Many love it, but many others like me struggle to hear what you say.

So glad to have you here! :) Yes, that’s why I try to do mostly voice overs, my house is always noisy 😆 Sometimes I’ll mix in the camera talk because it feels more personal, but totally understand what you are saying. It’s so frustrating when you miss what is being said! Thank you for the imput. I’ll pay close attention to that! :)

I needed to do this anyways - We moved in and this was the junk room (we had 2 junk rooms because of the move) So I needed the incentive, to get it done! haha
