First, the whole job you have done with the house is amazing. Many would have given up. Second, the console redo is fantastic. The new pulls are a total game changer.

The white drawers look SO good, oh my god. What an excelent idea. Also, I would pay to see someone who knew how the old room was before and has no idea of what you did with it to enter it and see it as it is now. Man, they would pee their pants. It's so good and beautiful.

It looks amazing! I started following you because my dad is a contractor/carpenter/handy man and I grew up helping him out on remodels and he actually remodeled our house about ten years ago. It was originally a small two bedroom ranch style house, one story, and he added an entire new wing onto it with an upstairs and it's now four bedrooms with an in-law apartment for my grandma. But we've constantly been doing little things to make it nicer and update it. He just finished remodeling the kitchen entirely! It was livable for a long time, but very dated, and now it's gorgeous and new. And after he did that, he came to visit me and helped me remodel my kitchen! It's really cool to live through remodeling something, especially when you live in the space you are remodeling. I feel like it gives you a whole new appreciation for the building and the process of making something yours and making it beautiful. You could live in a brand new, fully finished apartment or house and not realize the amount of work that goes into making it, or you could do it yourself and be able to walk around your home knowing you made all the little choices and put things together to make it your own. Keep up the good work! I'm excited to see the rest of the house as it comes together!

Every time I see a throwback shot of one of the rooms I get more and more excited for the final house tour! Also, you recommended 'Desenio' a while ago and I am in love! Thanks so much for the tip x3

When the crew comes out to install the base molding, have them cut out a couple of blocks of wood, that you can attach to the foot of your mantle, to fill in the gaps. The paint job is a really dramatic change. For your floor length mirror, there is a spray you can place on the back of your mirror glass to restore it's reflection. So if you have scratches or speckled areas, you can use the silver spray to fill it in instead of replacing the whole glass.

Handy little tip for you - when drilling holes in walls tape an envelope just below so it catches all the dust. Then you don't have a mess to clear up afterwards.

An idea for painting the fireplace surround (if it's wood) is to use the stone look spray paint. We once had an old house and use granite colour stone paint. The difference was amazing. It looked new and like real stone. Thanks for sharing. I love Victorian houses!

Seeing this made ME feel like I'm not alone in the renovation process too... Besides the fact that it seems like everything needs replacing from top to bottom, we moved in to literally neon lime green doors! Every. Single. One. on the main floor- neon green. Yellow Formica countertops and an old beat up yellow kitchen sink. Country- styled blue and white kitchen cabinets lined with yellow printed contact paper easily from the 70's or 80's. The carpet is like something you'd find in an office or school. Omg, this house has sooooo much potential but boy is it going to take A LOT of work!

So clean, bright, and modern! And the sideboard was fantastic!. I have a dark 80 sq. meter home in Arizona (shaded windows keep the place cooler). Decor is American southwestern. Walls are light yellow, floor is dark laminate, and furniture is dark. Need to keep the furniture or flooring - but the place needs lightening up. You provided a lot of inspiration!

I have to say this reno transformed beautifully. I love how you twikked the fire place it adds some victorian feel to the home. I would say that beautiful vintage mirror also gives that feel. The retro cabinet is a good touch. Quite a few charming pieces in here. I have to mention you Mum's art work together with the sofa and mustard cushions - brings pretty pops of colour into the home beautifully.... :D....

It really turned out marvelous didn't it, especially the fireplace! I'm doing a 1940's cottage and there is always something going on in the works. After dusting I mix liquid fabric softener and warm water in a spray bottle and use it on everything, even wood. Just buff it dry and it repels dust for ages. It even works as a fabric refresher. Much love from California ❤!

Just a tip- when you are painting with painters tape and want a crisp line, you can get a solid line by painting a layer of the same color that's already there. For example if a wall if currently white and you want to put a line or design or something in a different color using tape, put the tape up how you want it, paint over the sections in white. Leave the tape up and then paint the color you are wanting it to be. If that makes sense. This way the color that bleeds will be the same color that's already there .

The fireplace touch up is beautiful! Looks really clean and fresh. I like that leather sofa. The sofa in front of the window looks a bit frumpy. Maybe you can replace the frumpy sofa with the same leather sofa! You know, to balance out the room. Either way the room is a huge improvement from the original pix.

I typically hate when people paint beautiful furniture but that turned out amazing. So gorgeous. The room looks great, it really is a nice balance between more glam feminine pieces and bulky masculine ones.

I was skeptic about this console, but the result is AMAZING. I used to hate this kind of wood with lacquer and if this console was mine I would paint it all white. But I fell in love with your result. Just WOW. I had something similar to your console, but smaller. My dad had it since he moved to this hose (like 40 yrs ago? More?) I painted it dark green and omg, how pretty it is now. I'm very grateful to you for showing how you can change od redo something (on a budget!). I think you are one of my biggest inspirations for indoors decor and furniture. This looks so amazing!! You did such a wonderful job at renovating this space. You kept the character charm that older homes have but really made it feel quite modern as well. I love it. My only recommendation would be that when you have time, spray paint the hardware of the chandelier a bronze or gold . It sort of get lost in the airy ceiling with all of the white because if the silver hardware on it. It’s a beautiful piece of lighting but i think a warmer metal tone would really make the space flow throughout and anchor a warmer feeling in there. Maybe even in the future go for a lighting piece that’s just a tad bit larger. Like one Baby punch larger. Because the ceilings are so high, smaller light fittings can sometimes get lost in the height. Just a suggestion, I mean you frickin killed this room everything looks so cozy and nice. I love that you didn’t go overboard with nick Nacks as well because I think it would’ve clashed with the vibes you created in here. Bravo bravo

Everything looks great, but just a tip, I’d suggest switching your couches you have a lot of light colors on the side with the light couch and dark on the side with the dark couch. It would bring a lot of balance to the room, if you just switched them.

Wow, I just subbed because I'm so impressed with all your work and good eye for decor. I probably would have done the opposite with the console since the stripes on the drawers were its most unique feature and painting white or black around them would have emphasized that period detail, but it still looks good. Don't ever get rid of the unusual heirloom poker table, it's a keeper! That kind of piece puts soul into any room especially when it has modern things around it.

When I moved into my current home, we had to go in and repaint every inch of it. It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have to scrape buggers off the walls! Apparently the people that lived there previously allowed their kids to poke their nose and stick the buggers on the walls. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Who even does that!? Needless to say we spend a couple days fully disinfecting the entire place before we even touched a paint brush. If you'd seen what it looked like previously and again today, you wouldn't recognize it.
