OKAY HI! I can breathe after doing nothing but this bathroom for 8 days straight. Couple of notes after realizing I didn't mention somethings in the video. I didn't show updating the faucet because I caused not only the sink to spring a leak but somehow in the two pipes of the bidet as well. That's why it looks like my toilet is plugged in towards the end. As far as the window treatment I haven't decided on but I'm thinking a natural rolling wood tone bamboo type of deal - what are you thoughts!? If you guys have tips on sealant for concrete and tile, please let me know as I don't want for all this hard work to be for nothing! Ah hope you take away some bit of inspiration from this xx.

I agree! Even though the lines are wobbly up close, they don't look like that from the far shots (like she said), but it gives it such a nice, homey feel that I think fits really well with the aesthetic of the room. The whole makeover is amazing!

I would put a texturized epoxy over it to seal it completely. The poly will wear down. She can pit clean sand for a grip texture in a strong epoxy.

Thank you so much for this video! The before looks a lot like my parents bathroom. Eventually I'm going to move back in with them to take care of them and look after the house and one of my future goals is to redo the whole house but especially the bathrooms and I didnt know how to work with a small, boring and dated looking bathroom. Ours is so dated even though the house was built in 2006. And this works perfectly!

Suggestion I have seen with stencils, use a temporary glue like Elmer’s stick glue or a spray tacky glue and use it every time before place your stencil and then painting, it helps keep the edges more clean and crisp! Or purchase a sticky stencil to begin with!❤️

I also did a stencil in a small bathroom. It is tedious and back breaking work. But worth it in the end. The key is to put next to nothing paint on the stencil. Some people recommend a sponge but for me a small brush in stifling or tapping motions was the best. If you make a mistake you can always quickly wipe the paint away. Sand and repaint the tile with the base color to start over again.

Trust you and me I would never sell it like this but I call this my learning year - I execute DIY's that I've been wanting to learn to work my way up to demo and reno that you see everyone else here on KZfaq just know how to do first go. This year it was all about doable room makeovers. Next year - it's gutting and transforming our entire home. Starting with retiling our entire downstairs so hopefully you stick around but if not - just know I execute these projects as I am actually learning.

I absolutely love how this all turned out. My 2 favorites are the cabinets and the black around the glass shower. The black , white and wood look amazing!!! I love it! Good luck with the floor! I’m like you.. the uneven lines would drive me insane. It will look great once you have it all finished though. I would lose my damn mind with that stencil. I probably would have given up, ripped it to shreds mid way through and painted over the whole thing. 🤪 This was like advanced DIYing, and has so much inspiration.

Gosh…that was a lot of work! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The concrete over tile was genius and looked so unique. Bless your heart, the stencils tried to break you, but you are not a quitter. If they were too perfect, it would have looked boring. Thanks for sharing!

oh man, that tub skirt plus the tub & tile paint just really brought the whole bathroom up a notch! our bathroom is roughly this size so i think i might try those DIYs, although every wall is tiled so the thought of painting the whole room is just a tad daunting. i really loved this video, rachel! it's super helpful to see how practical some of these DIYs actually are.

I have a similar bathroom and all I've done to it was install new hardware, new toilet, and removed some resilient wallpaper by siblings installed. The vanity was painted a questionable olive green and I've been thinking on what to do to it to match my mint walls. I've usually seen the orange stripper on furniture, but its encouraging to see it applied on a cabinet. I'm gonna have to do that too and see what the wood looks like underneath! Amazing makeover and great information and inspiration!
