Lots of changes and improvements related to the flooring, kitchen, heating and so on all in this one episode! The next episode will be exiting as well!
Previous: • RIP MY SAVINGS (Store ...
Next: • MOVING IN! (Abandoned ...
The audio at 22:44 got suddenly changed due to using KZfaq's feature to replace copyrighted music. The entire video got demonetized due to the background music near the end and KZfaq has a feature that lets you replace the audio music in case that happens, but it didn't give me a preview and turns out it completely replaced the entire audio after 22:44, really changing the outro. It was already too late to reupload the video (had multiple donations and 100+ comments), but looking back, the new ending ending kind of fits as well haha.
MUSIC:
The Fly Guy Five - Stepping on It
CHAPTERS:
0:00 Heating cable
00:30 Basement cold
1:00 Christmas ornaments
1:40 Evergreen trees
2:35 Cutting logs
9:13 Slow internet
11:20 Snow time
12:30 Flooring time?
14:05 Leveling the floor
15:40 Interlude ft. forest animals
16:30 -18°C
17:15 Underground fireplace
18:25 The final result
22:20 Moving in?
22:53 Outro

Your Japanese videos played a huge part in me taking Japanese learning seriously , and as a side effect motivated me to study and apply for a much better paying software engineering job which I ended up getting. Thank you

Thank you so much, that's enough to cover the broken flooring packs! And I'm glad to hear my videos had such an impact, it really makes it worth it as I always hope that what people take away is that they're capable of much more than they realize, as long as they aren't scared to try. Hearing things like that makes me realize that that message is being conveyed :)

@@Livakivi No problem! I truly believe without buckling down and studying Japanese every day (for almost a year now) would have never led me to believe I could do more to better my life. So this gift is a small repayment for what your videos have done for me. Please continue doing what you're doing because you're inspiring so many!

I recommend to get an oven / stove fan. Those things simply run of the heat of the oven itself using a thermocouple. You put it on the stove top and that's all. They run at fairly low RPM and so they are very silent. The fan distributes the warm air from the stove in the room, increasing efficiency by a more even heating of the entire room.

Damn that chainsaw looks like an unsharpened knifed trying to cut raw meat. That said, happy to hear you got another stove that fits your needs better :D, and found an utility to the old one. I didnt realize about the floor protection thing :T here were i live its common to have tiled floors, so there is no need for that. Your dedication to this project and the wisdom and forethought you show are certainly inspiring

You could potentially use the leftover mirror glasses (i think thats what they were at 1:17 ) infront of your workout equipment potentially if you feel like you’re not going to be moving it elsewhere? Like a fancy little workout area

I was wondering when a new episode would come out. I find it really crazy that you have the knowledge to even pursue something like this, let alone the time, energy, and motivation. I’d likely be the first person to give up on a project like this one if I tried. Anyway, glad to see all your labor paying off! Hope to see you move in next episode for a proper congratulations. Looking forward to the next episode already.

Quick note, not all types of wood are necessarily good for burning in a furnace/closed fireplace. Some time ago, I was offered a lot of leftover wood from a house renovation (the wood used to he part of the outside wall of the house). As I later found out, that wood burned way hotter/intensely than the stuff you would buy usally for heating. That might be the reason why the metal pipe or chimney was glowing in the vid. Love the series tho, keep it up.

pro tip: stack similarly thick pieces of wood on top of each other in your wood rack so that you can access a range of wood sizes at all times. When you first start a fire, you'll want smaller, thinner pieces, but if you want the stove to burn through the night, then you'll want thicker chunks.
