Awesome stuff! Had an idea for making the extreme set sag less. You could swap out the traditional aluminum J-Bars and such with stainless steel. It would add about 3x more weight for each component but would increase the rigidity of the set. Also my favorite lube is lithium grease. The kids learn a quick lesson about paying attention and being clean when using it. If you aren't careful, you gotta go wash your hands vigorously to get it off. 😂

I don't know how the rules read for records, but it seems like you could get the parts count up with the toy rack from a pair of timbales. A couple jam blocks and a splash cymbal, for example, would probably weigh less than just one spock.

In our high school pep band we can probably replace a head on a bass drum in a single quarter of a basketball game, we've broken enough heads to become proficient at replacing them. I actually have one of the old ones, has a massive dent in it that was caused by playing "thriller" a little too aggressively. Fun timrs.

I know that you just put an 8 inch drum on but you should replace one of the spocks on the main tenors with an 8 inch and then replace the yamaha spock on the left with the pearl one you removed from the middle. Then itll be mostly pearl gear and you can pitch the design to pearl and make some money lmao

I was planning to do that when i make a drum kit, have 2 marching kicks, both with twin effect pedals (quadruple pedals), a concert bass drum in the center on the floor, directly in front of the player, and finally, a SHIT TON of tenor toms on top of both of the smaller kicks, and maybe a tupan as a floor tom, a field snare and some timpani, a shit ton of cymbals, including a huge ride and finally a huge tam tam/gong behind the player, like Nicko Mcbrain. That would be the drum kit of my dreams, imagine the blast beats i could pull off...

Not extreme enough. Here's what I can build for you: 360-degree, battery-powered rotation system X-Treme 360 Tenors with 69 drums Lightweight materials, marchable It's like those crazy drum kits where the drummer spins around 360 on the throne.... except the tenors revolve around you like a UFO instead.

Kind of cool, but i think it would get frustrating, having the toms you want to play spin out of reach, and having to wait for them to om back round again. Would be great for imprivisation, and I would love to see you build it though, and him play it. Just an aura of spinning toms, he'd be like a minecraft blaze but with toms instead of burning rods, lol. I think it would be cool to also put other things in that, like a snare drum or two and maybe a bass drum or a cymbal or two.
@mal2ksc
@mal2ksc 2 жыл бұрын
@@AnkothOfficial Any time I've seen a rotating drum setup, either the composition was carefully synchronized with the rotation, or there were three or four identical sets of drums rotating around so that when a drum went out of reach on one side, a duplicate was available on the other side. The whole spinning kit thing is entirely for show at that point.
