To be honest, every time I am walking down some path where I THINK I am alone I now will probably find myself wondering if someone is lurking in the bushes. Not that I think you are creepy but this opens up the possibility that SOMEONE who IS creepy will be doing what you're doing and this whole idea makes cold chills go up and down my spine. That said, I enjoyed this first time of watching you and you now have a new subscriber from Nashville, Tennessee.

A friend of mine who was in training for the special forces, told me a story that happened to him. Part of the training was doing exactly what you did in this video, but for 5 days undetected. Early on morning some guy passed on him, the guy didn't even realise and went on his way. He made it through training, I think he said it was in Bristol City centre....

Right under their nose. A stealth campers wet dream! 😄 Those dogs could easily have given you away though. I have the same bivvy and camouflage net so I learned some valuable lessons today.

Yes! Ive always wanted to do this since i was a kid! It would've been hilarious if you started growling and shaking the bushes when that guy threw the fanta on you 😂. You're lucky a German Shepherd didn't walk past! My Piper would have sniffed you out for sure, but she would've just given you a smooch and moved on. I live off grid in my campervan. I use a trangia stove in that (it's fully converted but prefer the trangia over a fitted stove) and also use it every time I'm out camping. I also spend about 4 months of the year camping and living out of a rucksack. I use a trangia stove every time. Nothing can beat it. Great videos by the way. I follow you all over on blot outdoors but will follow you all individually too. 😊😊

I've done stealth camping in Amsterdam, both out of neccessity when I was homeless and later on for fun when I wasn't homeless. Sleeping on or near a public way - basically anywhere outdoors (except in campsites) including in parks - is illegal there and you can get a ticket (a fine) as well as being moved on by police or Handhaving (type of community police or council wardens) if they catch you. Also in the Netherlands being in any woods after sundown and before sunrise is illegal, whether you are sleeping or not. There are some woods in Amsterdam West, called de Bretten, where I camped (both homeless and later, for fun) but they are patrolled by council Boswachter (forest rangers/wardens) who also have the power to issue fines. I got caught there once as a hobby stealth camper , about 10 in the morning and claimed I wasn't camping just chilling out for the day. I was brushing my teeth and still had sleep in my eyes lol so they knew I'd stayed overnight. The younger ones looked angry but the older guy the leader of the group was alright about it as I said I was bushcrafting, and he could see that I was respecting the environment, so I got away with it. The Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Forest) to the south of the city is much bigger and seems like a good place to do it but that is really heavily patrolled and I think they may use drones too so I wouldn't recommend there, it's too obvious. The chief Boswachter (ranger) actually lives in a house in the middle of the woods there. Best places are De Bretten or anywhere around Sloterdijk. I have camped out in the Westerpark too but in summer and just in sleeping bag, no tent or tarp, but generally I'd advise against trying to camp in the parks near the centre (Westerpark, Oosterpark, Vondelpark) as they are also patrolled by police all night, and it's easy to get caught. But I'm sure you'll be fine as you are a good stealth camper. Liked and subscribed.

Brilliant that mate. I have only wild camped twice, once behind a dry sone wall in the lake district miles from a village and once on the top of Cross fell 10 miles from the nearest house. I am thinking of doing another one in a few weeks down South as I need to be in London the follwoing day and you have given me the confidence that its easilty doable if you are sensible. I won't be camping in the middle of a village mind.

You could imagine the scenario - kid sees man in bushes and tells his big brother and his mates. But well done, excellent stealth camping you can't get any more stealthier than that.
