This exclusive, rare, Extreme Tornado Footage shows Storm Chaser Vince Waelti up close to an extremely photogenic storm in Crowell, Texas, USA on May 4, 2022. The tornado comes within 100ft of the car and almost the entire life cycle is captured on camera.
All actions performed in this video were extremely calculated! Professional storm chasers use experience and education to position themselves close, but safely to tornadoes, hail, wind, floods, hurricanes, and blizzards. Don't attempt storm chasing without proper training.

That footage just keeps getting better with age. It almost looks like there are sparks flying off your hood from particulate matter in the flying dust debris. Some crazy beautiful subvortices as well. I know you are a trained professional but I can't help but worry about all of you whose income is dependent on these money shots. Stay safe out there.

Tornado in red, is dancing with me, cheek to cheek It's just right there, kissing my Griille This is where I want to be! [sung to the tune of Lady in Red by Chris DeBurg] I saw this live as it happened. I still love this footage, it never gets old, always a heart-pounding, exciting moment to watch! I was frozen in amazement, yet totally thrilled, worried for your sanity, yet I felt your calm, Vince. Just you and a newborn tornado, having a moment together, while others were scrambling for cover or a safe shot. I admit I did squeal at you to get the heck away from there, and questioned your sanity a few times. Ryan was stuck mute with some emotion too, and thens aid to please not try this unless one is a professional storm chaser. Good advice, that. Keep 'em coming Vince! We love tornadoes and you and Queen Nikki!

Much too close Vince. And fortunate that you were able to reverse out if it's grasp at around the 20 second mark. No disrespect intended bub, but please be more cautious while chasing. @@bradsense7431 when active, those wind turbines spin around 150mph. It just looks slow because they’re so massive.
