Got to agree the added detail in the beach area of the Angelfish aquarium is so much more aesthetically pleasing, and just a bonus if it helps the fish feel more at ease, too.

I came upon your channel a little while ago. You have inspired me to get back into keeping fish again after a long absence from the hobby because of jobs, life experiences, etc. I always derived such peace from the hobby when I did it in the past. I was always a big fan of freshwater black lace angel fish and was actually successful enough with my care that they would breed. Due to space limitations I kept a couple 55 gallon aquariums and a couple 20 gallon aquariums. And have kept many of the smaller fish breeds as well. Zebras, fancy guppies, neons, mollies, cory's, hatchet fish, red-tailed sharks, and many more that you would be familiar with of course. They all have their attributes. I even kept a lone male betta fish in his own 20 gallon aquarium. I always felt horrible the way the were kept at the stores and wanted to take them all home but we know why that is not possible. So one lone fish in the aquarium which I had for a few years. You are a great teacher and your scapes turn out beautifully. I commend you for your passion and dedication to the hobby. Know that you are an inspiration indeed. Thank you!

I like the improvements to the Angel tank, thought it was too barren for a good chunk of space at the bottom which was distracting

You should do a P.I.N.K Tank next. Plants I've Never Kept. Maybe with a strong light and some.. *Gasp* CO2? Just one tank will do it. Comparisons, observation differences, the challenge, something different etc.. You've mastered your technique for certain. Your jungle style tank with higher demanding plants could be some real fun. Great content! I have kept tropical fish for over 50 years . Might I suggest you up the vegetable food on your angels - they really do put on some size with a veggie diet. Love your scapes and you really know your stuff. There was a time I looked after 120 tanks but I just have the one now so it is a delight. Now how about some silver dollars? Stupid fish but gorgeous all the same!

About Galaxy Rasboras being close to the islands. It is normal for them to be close to bottom or hardscape. I have it same in my aquarium. They just do not swim to open space. Also they will spawn a lot but fry are very small and will probably be eaten by bigger fish. And yes, there is a lot of trimming with CO2 system, usually every week.

The angelfish tank is much improved! The rare nano ecosystem tank is super good. I think the Amazon river has too many fish in.

i’d love to see you build a background for a tank. there are several simple methods, here’s my favorite/the easiest. first just use 100% silicone and glue some rocks and/or driftwood all over the back of the tank. then, just get black pond spray foam and fill in the gaps. let it cure for a day or two and then remove the shiny surface and carve away excess foam. the foam looks really natural once it gets some algae on it, or you can attach moss or other epiphyte plants and they’ll attach to it easily. it’s a super easy process and should be pretty easy to remove when the time comes. it ruins the depth illusion aspect of a solid color background, but in return you get hardscape completely covering the back of the tank that the fish will interact with

MD the galaxy rasbora aka cpds are definitely going in those plants and scattering eggs mine did the same thing I had no fry show up until I removed the adults from the tank one day. If you want to breed them set up a tank with them in it for about a week just power feeding them live and frozen foods then pull them back out and wait. In about a week you should have some tiny little fry popping up

I think I would have a sump tank, which would then already be at the room temp. Could even have a heater in it, for those that need to be a bit warmer. Then you could de-chlorinate it before adding, even using an air stone rather than chemicals.

Im just starting a lightly planted aquarium along with trying to find the right driftwood its scarce by me so far finding the plants I want also is tough guess I have to order them online I think the best thing I did was get some beta leaves and alder cones cause my fish look so much better
