Used to live here in 1979/80 at NAWO rest house. There was a proper glacier site a few hundred yards ahead of rest house to the right hand side of the track leading to rama lake. That was my first real glacier in life though trecked/stayed on many more in later days. Another interesting incident was that while I was staying at rama rest house, a boy and a girl from Holland 🇳🇱came up and requested for a stay there. I told my staff to accommodate them. They lived with me for next few days and became very palsy palsy. Point to ponder for the reader is that those were different times and rama was a different place altogether than what you see of it today.
