I would also recommend using blue thread lock on everything as well. Even torquing to spec and some of mine came loose. But as seen in my videos, the kit works very well with some 35s!

You would think a Rough Country 3.5” or 4” would be the same, I did…Well, there are differences. On my second day doing this in my driveway. I’m using both adjustable track bars. Oh, the bolt going through the frame for drop brackets, be careful still trying to find it with a magnet. Also, using new stainless flex brake lines from Rough Country. Don’t know yet about the wiring for front wheel tone rings. Front top relocation shock brackets are fun. Don’t forget about the new High Angle CV Joint for the front drive shaft, only on Automatic Transmissions, along with Exhaust Extensions. Wheel spacers all around 1.5”. Man, I’ll be glad when I’m done…a lot of work. I need new steps side rales with my 35” tires. Also, now it’s too tall for my wife to drive it, that’s a good thing! No new bump stops front, or rear just use factory, why?

The axle side rear track bar bolt needs to be installed from the front side of the bracket so the end of the bolt doesn't contact the spring. 57:30

If I plan on adding extended brake lines and a new brake line anchor would I simply bend the brake lines back to the factory position?
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 3 жыл бұрын
You don't need to bend them back if you do not wish. Just add the brake line extensions. If you are using a different anchor, then you may need to bend the stock metal lines to accommodate for that

Does anybody know what is the difference between the 2 door and four door kit? Maybe just the spring sizes? I have a four door and am wondering if the these install instructions are the same.

I purchased the kit from you guys and I installed it on my 2011 JKU. I am glad I went with this kit because the video described and explained each step. It sure beats reading the paper instructions with with black and white pictures. The track bar was difficult remove from the pitman arm. I had to use the pitman arm puller from the top and push the stud through for removal. The pitman arm was even more difficult to remove from the steering box. I broke the puller tool and had to rent another another one but it finally came out. The front took me 8hrs and the rear was 1.5 hrs. I did this at home in my driveway and I did not need a spring compressor. This video was of great help. I can only imagine how long I would have taken without your step by step instructions. I am very happy with this kit and it handles great.

Do I need dual steering stabilizers and lift kit stabilizers relocation ?
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 3 жыл бұрын
I didnt not need the dual stabilizer. I did get a new stabilizer but it doesnt need anything special for it. Apart of the instructions in the kit, it shows how to adjust the mounting system for the stock stabilizer which is all you really need. If you want to see this lift in action, check out some of the videos on my channel to see the flex and lift over some 35's

I have not installed the exhaust spacers on mine yet. I do more than just daily drive mine. I take mine to off road parks often and have no issues. I do flex quite a bit. Check out some of the videos on my channel to see how much flex I actually get out of mine.

@extremeterrain
@extremeterrain Жыл бұрын
If you already have a front and rear track bar you would not need the location brackets. The pitman arm is to lower the angle of the drag link, so it would be recommended to still use that. Hope this helps!

I have the option right now to get a 2017 jeep with roughly 10k miles. however i do not know the back story and its not exactly cheap. my question is, it has everything i need and care about in a jeep, it has the 3.6 and it has some options, heated seats, better tires and wheels than steelies, it does have a soft top but its a "premium" one whatever the f that means. Can anyone give me a little assistance if i wanna steer clear of this model. is it only worth it if its super cheap. will it hold up well if the regular maintenance is done on it? or just skip it and probably can buy a new one somewhere or an ugly color low option standard left over somewhere for a decent buy
@todtalk3912
@todtalk3912 2 жыл бұрын
I have no clue why it only has 10k miles it has no history of anything negative, it still has the stock tires and the dates on them match when they would of been made and put on the vehicle. there dated about 4 months before the vehicle was assembled. anyway everything matches up, its not some sketch deal or anything so don't worry about the mileage as i'm def not. just concerned about a vehicle 5 years old with that low mileage on it. I dont want it to flip or nothing like that, i want it to daily. so i just really wanna know from non fan boys but jeep owners. the main concerns i have, is that i have 2 friends, this was about 2014 to 2016 ish but i really dont' remember exactly when, one the motor completely needed to be overhauled by jeep, the ordered a new block I remember him saying and the external bolt on parts were all used again but main parts inside were not. point is, basically a new engine. the other guy had some serious stuff going on with upper part of the engine that needed fixing, and something with the AC. point is, I believe these were fixed under warranty but this is under warranty. i can maybe go out n get some form of warranty but idk. so thats what i'm worried about mostly

What about controls arms and the cymetry rear axle?
@extremeterrain
@extremeterrain 10 ай бұрын
In order to push the axle back after this lift you would need to add longer or adjustable control arms to the rear. This kit doesn't come with it, but if you want the rear fully corrected as well they are recommended.

@@extremeterrain Thanks Zach! I appreciate the response! Any suggestions on which shocks to swap in (that are compatible with this kit) for a less stiff on-road driving experience?
@extremeterrain
@extremeterrain 4 жыл бұрын
Depending on what kind of budget you have, I would highly recommend looking into Fox's 2.0 IFP Series Shocks. Fox has some of the highest quality shocks in the market right now and they really provide a great balance of smooth on-road handling and being stiff enough off-road to take some abuse. Bilstien and Old Man Emu make some great dual purpose shocks as well. Hope this helps! -Zach www.extremeterrain.com/fox-front-perf-ifp-15-35-980-24-887.html www.extremeterrain.com/fox-rear-perf-ifp-15-35-980-24-888.html

I install this Lift Kit, but the Nitro charged shocks are horrible... The Jeep moves like hell inside the car when you are in Off ROAD, its a shame.... Know im looking for New australian shocks absorvers
@extremeterrain
@extremeterrain 4 жыл бұрын
Nitrogen-charged shocks definitely ride stiffer than conventional hydraulic ones, but they stand up to heavy wear and usage a lot better in the long term. If you're looking for something with better on-road handling characteristics, check out Eibach or Old Man Emu. They both make some great stuff. 👍 -Zach

Parts like track bar brackets, drop pitman arms, and control arm relocation brackets all help to get your Wrangler's suspension geometry close to where they'd be when everything else is stock. Without them - they absolutely wouldn't be at stock spec. -Zach
