Happy New Year Hannah! Shine. By Sd is one of my favorite brands and I have so many shadows from their older collections. I haven’t been so keen on their new collections from 2023 because I’m not into super sparkly and flaky shadows. I have picked up a few from the newer collections (Earthborn, Fantasy 2:0, new Hidden Gems, etc. I like some of these but they definitely don’t blow me away like my shadows from the older collections. I fully support the brands adventurous side but I also need them to keep an eye on their price points because some of the new collections are priced out of what I will spend on single shadows. I haven’t picked up anything from this latest collab palette. There is a blue shade that has caught my eye as well as Mirkwood that I may get later on the year.

I just got Quartz from Shine by SD and it is an amazing inner corner shade and the perfect texture.

🩺 This came at the perfect time. I was literally on the website looking at the collab shades and trying to figure out which I wanted.

I hadn’t see too many ppl review this collab but I appreciate it! I was confused with the colours in the photos vs ppls swatches on IG.

My first order with ShineBySDCosmetics was so disappointing I don’t think I’d ever order again, 8 of 13 came busted to smithereens some didn’t even have the star print on them that weren’t and they also had foreign debris in them yellow fuzzy stuff and then blackish/gray spots or something that was hard. Trying to get them out of the pods to repress was so hard n messy and then the shipping took forever way longer then any estimates and then when it did supposedly get shipped out it was stuck on label for over a week and then yeah when it finally got to me it was a mess with foreign debris inside some of them shattered and not shattered. I would say Route was amazing though. I was planning on just trying to repress and move on but everything added up to me becoming completely disappointed and beyond just repressing and moving on so when route emailed what I thought of my order I decided to implement it. But I really wanted to love SBSD cause the shadows looked so beautiful and up my alley but that one experience just outweighed it.

I know some clean the pans with rubbing alcohol prior to filling the pan and maybe they just forgot to finish press
