Fun fact: the blood moon is actually a real occurrence in real life. It doesn't cause supernatural phenomenons though. We only relate the blood moon with that kind of stuff is because of its color. Which appears due to certain lighting that happens during a luner eclipse.

It confused me so much when I was younger (and still does), because I assumed that when Earth’s shadow fell directly across the entire moon, it was a new moon (no visible moon), but for some reason when earth is perfectly between the sun and moon, the atmosphere bends sunlight and refracts mostly red light onto the moon? Also, a blood moon cannot be avoided by screaming I WILL THROW BREAD AT YOU SIR!! I laughed so hard
