It's strange that the EZ-Flash Junior (GB and GBC) doesn't have cheats, but the GB-X7 does, while the GBA Mini doesn't have cheats, but the EZ-Flash Definitive Edition (GBA) does. It's also weird that the EZ-Flash Junior works on the Analogue Pocket, but the EZ-Flash Definitive Edition does not, while the GBA Mini does work on the Analogue Pocket but the GB-X7 does not. Very strange.

They do it for money we all know they can make 1 everdrive that works with gb gbc gba even the super nintendo adapter but no you have to buy a overprice piece of garbage

Using headphones I notice a slight hum from my Ez Flash Junior on my GBC when playing games, which doesn't occur with original games. Does your Ez-Flash produce this hum too? What about the Everdrive? The only thing I dislike about my Ez-Flash is having to reset it to get it to save, that really is bothersome in some games like Lufia, which reboots itself whenever you save, thus requiring you to be a ninja and reseting the Ez Flash before the game reboots itself.

Nice video. One question, what happens to your savefiles when the intern battery dries out? You lose them like in the original cartdriges? Thanks

No the save file is saved in the micro sd card

I believe the battery is only for the real time clock that only a few games use, like 2nd gen Pokemon games.

Yea I heard that version works I have the 2018 version, so I’m hoping for a fix For now EZ Flash has been great

@@CasaVerdeGames krikzz made a post on Twitter some time ago and said he can't make it work with an update. So I guess you have to buy the new version :(

So the save state on the analogue works with flash carts? That’s pretty rad. I expected the save state to only work with regular games. Do you know the power draw difference between the two carts? I’ve got a modded pocket with the funny playing screen and it doesn’t have enough juice for the everdrive.

Yea it’s cool that the save state work on both flash carts but it does mess with the RTC of the game And it interesting about your ED issues with the modded pocket, I’ve tried it on a funny play DMG Gameboy and it works great. It could be you need a new ips screen that draws less power

Real time clock (RTC) that’s what controls the time in game like Pokémon Gold Yea your right it’s the 2 AAA batteries You should consider a USB C rechargeable battery

Everdrive GB X7 has RTC isolated for each game, avoiding some issues that may arise when multiple games tries to use RTC. Does EZ Flash Jr have that?

I would say that the EZ Flash Jr is more between the X5 and the X7 since it has an RTC But with the save state on the Pocket already it puts it up there with the X7

Yup thats why emulated hardware and emulated software is a bad idea. Analog pocket really best if your using a single game flash cart (no micro sd) and official carts.

Single flash carts are pretty cool, It give the person a chance to customize the cart or build their own game and put in on a cart as well

Yea it does work, you might have to do some slight more modding since it might draw more power then the DMG Game boy can handle, I've heard of some issues

No. The screw holes are different sizes / locations so it doesn’t fit properly.

Sorry, but this is a horrible comparison video. You're constantly mentioning random features without doing direct comparisons, half the stuff you show are analogue pocket features (which is not the point of a video comparing flash carts, plus it is extremely confusing). What people want to know in a EZ vs X7 comparison is what features they have in common, what features differ from each other and which one performs better.

They are far too expsensive at the moment because of those rotten scalpers. I'd but ax X7 if there were any in stock, so i've gone with the ez-flash junior for now & it is a good one. Then again, the Everdrives are the best ones out there, so they'd cost a bit more. But yes, it is the silly scalpers that are driving the prices up with it being hard for krikzz to get many made at the moment.

For original hardware I like the ED GB X7 It has pretty good features that the EZ Flash doesn’t have like save state but if that isn’t worth the extra money for you then EZ Flash is better ED GB X7 also has issues with the pocket but hopefully that will get resolved down the line So I guess it depends on your budget and what features you want. Also ED is hard to find and scalpers are over pricing them

I play on the Retroad 5 Plus with the GB/GBC Extension Converter. I use the Everdrive GB X7. I do use a EZ-FLASH Jr. with the Super Gameboy I just need to click the cartridge a couple of times to get it to load. Big difference in price and quality. Better compatibility with different devices using the real Everdrive.
