At this point, Ezra gets arrested more than the Flash TV reuses 'Run Barry Run.'

I don’t even know what to say anymore regarding this situation. It’s actually absurd. I feel bad for everyone else involved with the flash movie.

I am baffled to how he keeps getting away with assaulting women when others can get fired for just saying something bad about a woman or an accusation. WB keeps burying this stuff.

I think a few years back, recasting with Grant wouldn’t work.But I think now that the general audience is being introduced to the concept of the multiverse, it could definitely work.Audiences understand the concept way more now(primarily thanks to Spider-Man:No Way Home)and just like with that movie, audiences were willing to go back and watch Tobey and Andrew’s movies.The Flash TV show can just be reworked to work as an origin show for Grant’s Flash(like Moon Knight or Ms Marvel for the MCU)and just have some multiverse stuff happen that transfers Grant’s Flash to the DCEU(maybe even Tom Cavanagh or Matt Letscher showing up as his Reverse Flash again)

This may also be part of larger problem surrounding not only personal mental health, but also how authority figures hold, detain, and then release Ezra Miller only for him to continue an unfortunate repeated pattern of aggression. His treatment in response to public controversies should be beyond legal, and be treated psychologically.

U said it perfect. He was put in a position to carry a franchise, and he still chose to make bad decisions. He continues and likely will continue to make bad decisions. He can't be trusted to be the face of anything... such a shame.

I vote for a recast...not to spite Ezra or knock his performance, but so that he can go get whatever help it is that he needs. I admire your approach to Ezra's situation man 👍

I’ve seen a lot of comments that basically say “They should just recast him with Grant Gustin”. Honestly since this pattern is continuing, I would love to see Grant get promoted

Honestly this might just be another moment where a character gets recasted between movies without explanation like what they've done with Rhodes and Bruce Banner.

Give the role to Grant Gustin, I’m sure many would agree. But I would have to disagree with your take on people feeling the need to watch the flash show to understand. To this day there is still a LOT of people who jump into MCU movies without watching the rest, plus Ezra’s flash has only been in one movie so it wouldn’t be that bad of a switch

They should ditch Ezra Miller’s flash and bring Grant’s Barry into the DCEU through some multiverse merging Crisis stuff. Grant, with an a actual good script and directing that stays true to the character, and maybe some blonde hair dye, would be great for the DCEU. Still, if Grant isn’t chosen, than hopefully they can get a good new actor.

I'm still interested into seeing what The Flash turns out. I have a feeling they'll just recast the Flash and say while he was doing time shenanigans his face was changed or something like that. Ezra needs help.

I know this sound like something that likely won’t happen, but at this point, I think WB should just reboot the DCEU, wether they move it to The Batman Universe or make a whole new universe.

Just bring in Grant at this point. I've always said Grant has been held back by the TV shows script, he could do so much more as Barry if they actually gave him a good script.

I honestly believe that a person with this amount of arrests should be suspended from Hollywood for a while until he gets his act together and I also believe that Grant Gusten would work as our movie flash by showing it’s an alternate version of Barry who went through the same events as the current flash

My vote is for Grant Gustin. I don't believe in the whole he's a TV actor thing.

I love the character of the Flash, and I have since I was a kid. It's sad that the person playing him now...for his very first theatrical solo movie ever...is being played by someone who is setting a terrible example for kids, and not being the role model the character deserves. I know it sounds dumb, but there's a reason these heroes have been around for decades, and show no signs of losing popularity, and that's because kids look up to them, and we remember how we felt as kids looking up to them. When there's an opportunity to play a role like this, you want it to be given to someone who will understand the importance of what the character stands for. If Warner Bros was willing to fire Johnny Depp from Fantastic Beasts, then why are they refusing to do anything about Ezra? It's just enabling the behavior at this point if they continue to say or do nothing.

Chris I’m sorry but at this point I feel like he has to go! Sure he was good in the zack snyders justice league but he’s just now sparking controversy left and right! at least that’s what I feel.

I got a good idea, you reshoot the final act where you can make Ezra Miller’s flash sacrifice himself for the greater good and then have the DCEU’s Wally West Flash become our main flash for the timeline

Its funny how every Justice League actor has basically had some controversial thing happen. Ezra- obvious reasons. Ray- His fight with WB Affleck- His alcohol addiction Gadot- That god awful rendition of 'Imagine' Mamoa- Divorce The only one who hasn't been in the news, Cavill, the actual boyscout. Crazy.

I always thought a great Flash movie arc would’ve been: Part One: Captain Cold Part Two: Reverse Flash DC Event: Flashpoint (all out adaptation of the comic with DCEU actors and some new surprises either new but don’t alter the overall event AND maybe some one shot content) Part 3: Mirror Master

Young actor, playing a prominent character, and an entire comic-book universe served up on a silver platter.... Imagine Tom Holland going around to bars, stealing crap and throwing stuff at people. Right... you can't... because Tom Holland is a gentleman. Ezra's a punk.

It breaks my heart knowing that this movie can’t even and prolly won’t even release all because of the BS the actor is causing,WB/discovery need to seriously recast Ezra replacing him with grant or something because this is ridiculous.

The Flash is one of my all time favorite super heroes. Seeing this happen and knowing that the hopes for the movie is in the trash can. I hope for a recast and it doesn't have to be Grant Gustin even though I would be totally down for that. I also feel so bad for everyone who worked hard on the movie. If we do get a recast, the movie should take place in some other universe where the Flash goes back in time changes the timeline, then at the end he changes it again where he's in our main DCEU universe.

Dylan O'Brien should be the perfect cast for the flash because of Maze Runner.

I think they don't even need to recast Miller. I think literally all they need to do is announce a new character being introduced such as Wally West and with the reshoots, have Wally West show up at times randomly during the movie, make him a mystery character then boom, have Barry Allen disappear at the end cuz of how much he screwed up the timeline, and then the new DCEU Flash is Wally West. I think that could work. It'd be admittedly out of nowhere but I think it could work out in the long run cuz that way, your not killing off Barry Allen. This I think leaves can close the chapter on Miller's Barry Allen till Miller can hopefully get things in his life figured out. Cuz since this happened, I think something is happening in his life. And if you just say Barry disappears and the new Flash for a while could be Wally West. I genuinely think this could work.

As long as Pattinson's Batman stays in his own universe, i'm good. idgaf about the rest of the DCEU anymore

Ezra Miller really looks like he needs immediate help. As for WB, they will either release the film in HBOMAX or delay the film for two years or so to recast a new actor for the role. Personally, I believe that releasing the film on theaters is not that bright idea right now and it’ll most likely do bad in the box office with Ezra situation. So it better if they release in HBOMAX. I believe delaying the film is a bad idea cause people will lose interest if they delay the film for the next year or three to recast a new actor and also doing reshoots. I do agree that the Flash should be the last WB/DC live action movie and just reset their live action DC universe.

If this isn't a sign that the movie is cursed, I don't know what is. REBOOT!

I agree with 2 of the options you pointed out, either recast the Flash at the end of the movie (preferably Grant Gustin) or End the DCEU and reboot the entire universe from scratch

I don’t think they should do anything to the movie itself. I would prefer them to try and get Ezra Miller some help, but if they decide to fire Ezra, then I still don’t think they should change the movie, because it just will not be worth it.

In my opinion I would love to see Grant Gustin play a live action Flash on the big screen but for him and the whole situation i think Grant getting his own solo film would be better if it's like a sequel to the tv series or something un-attached to anything. And in regards to Ezra Miller being the flash I'd say keep the film l, release it on HBO Max and use that film to completely reset the DC movie-verse. Start the new DC live action movie-verse correctly making individual character movies and then work up to a justice league film... Tell me if I'm onto something...

Get Grant Gustin in the movie now he to me will always be Barry Allen and I don't understand why he wasn't the main version of the Flash in this movie.

WB-DC needs to make a public statement and recast The Flash. with Grant Gustin in future projects. They can explain the recast thru the multiverse. Most of the fans going to see it will be going there because of Micheal Keaton as The Batman anyways. The multiverse can also explain why Grant Gustin's tv Flash and the Grant Gustin's movie Flash are not the same Flash but different Flash's in the multiverse. At the very least Grant needs to have a cameo in the film.

I think what they should do is not make the flash canon to the main dc universe. And what ever happens by the end of the flash, it happens to another universe.

The first comic I ever read was Flash of 1000 Faces. In it Pied Piper and the reader learns Flash can vibrate his molecules to make his face look different. Maybe they can do that and give some explanation why he needs to change his appearance.

I don't see why they can't get Grant to play Barry in the films. Just say he's a variant. WB should put Ezra in rehab and recast their role by giving it to Grant Gustin. Reshoot the movie. Delay it however long they need to in order to get it right.

Somewhere, Michael Keaton is screaming, "WTF is going on ?" I was rooting for Ezra. I really was (and still am); HOWEVER, WB should just release the film with the caveat that Ezra won't be returning to the role (for now, anyway). From a PR point of view WB should just emphasize the return of Michael Keaton and the introduction of Sasha Calle. The irony is that Cinema Con is next week in Vegas, and the first REAL trailer for "The Flash" will be shown there. Too many people have worked very hard on the movie (and Batgirl for that matter). Just release the damn movie. I feel bad for the Muschiettis, Calle, Keaton, the people Ezra has hurt and Ezra (who obviously has serious mental issues). This is bad. Bad. Bad. Where in the HELL is Ezra's family? Go to Hawaii and put them on a 5150 for God's sake.

If you ask me, Warner/DC or whatever needs to take a break from their superhero movies for a few years maybe and then restart this whole thing from scratch. Since they’re trying to more-so do what Marvel did, then the best way to do it would be starting this whole thing from scratch. The DCEU is beyond repair at this point and I really don’t think that even The Flash movie could fix it, given the production hell that it’s been going through since 2016.

At this point, he should be fired and Flashpointed out of his own movie. Reshoot the third act and be done with the movie. There's no way that film will break even because of him.

If they do want to just drop the film on HBO Max then they’re gonna have to release Batgirl in theaters right now releasing two DC movies on streaming would be kind of overkill so they should just swap have the Flash on HBO Max then forget about it and have eyes on Batgirl instead for a theatrical release

I don’t think they need to reboot the DCEU as long as the movies are consistently good like TSS. Way too much in production to just scrap it all. The Flash is basically already rebooting everything. I agree that recasting him and dumping it on HBO Max is probably the easiest and cheapest thing they can do. Miller is doing everything he can to ruin this movie so it’s time he got the boot.

I Disagree on the "people will have to watch the flash for 7 years because of the same actor" when MCU has used the same actor to play the same characters just a different universe version so this isn't true at all...The Grant Gustin thing is just a rumor anyway so I wouldn't invest too much into that.

I got a solution. Recast him and in the final battle of the movie do a re-shoot that explains somehow him changing the timelines will change him as well and introduce a brand new flash at the very end but it’s still the same character just a variant.

I think that a matrix 3 kind of explanation (with the oracle) would suffice, and allow them a clean break, and bring about a new iteration of the DCEU to allow for changes to what hasn't worked, but still allow what has to remain (even if small alterations are made ).

Apparently, the Flash film has been through various film developments hell for years as far as back to the 1980s. And only in 2014 or 2015, when the DCEU wanted to include the Flash as part of it.

That is understandable about the recasting. They just have to do something i think the fans have wanted to see the movie for a while and delaying it even more will lose any hype for it. So it’s a lose lose situation altogether
