One tip which probably works for any robo vac with mop function. I found that the base station waste water tank soon got very smelly after each clean. The trick is to put a cap full of white vinegar in the tank after it's been emptied. Seems to keep it sterile and eliminates smells.

This looks very similar to the Dreame D10 plus (frequently on sale for £299) which I have. Does everything very well apart from mopping (I've not tried it but it is essentially a wet rag that gets dirtier the more it is used). It's odd that you thing that a single brush is unusual. Mine has one brush on the right and goes around the room perimeter in an anti-clockwise direction (like the RE4). All of the dirt is thrown from the edge to the middle then it does the rest of the room, picking up anything that was thrown into the middle. I shall check out the Ezviz range to see if they have something that will mop more realistically (spinning mops, self cleaning etc.). Thanks for the vid!

Great review. Thank you. I am looking for a new bot as my Ecovac T9 AIVI (which is 2 years old) stops within a minute of cleaning with errors saying mainbrush tangled - even with a brand new side brush and main brushes fitted just before the clean! By the sound of it, if you have the base station on a carpeted area and want to mop a hard floor area, you have to attached the mop pad and take the bot to the hard floor area? Rather than attached the pad and let the bot go about a vac of carpeted area and mop of hard floor all in the same cleaning cycle?

I guess there’s only so many ways that robovacs can be different… but I’ve yet to check out roborock kit! It’s on my list!

looks great - and has many similarities with the Switchbot K10. Bigger of course - the mop looks marginally better than the wet wipe but not by much. Id be really interested to see a head to head comparison to the Switchbot - and at £299 its a real bargain as long as it is at least as good as the switchbot. I see it has the same silly design feature that the switchbot one has i.e. a base station with no floor ramp - for the switchbot they tell you to place it on a hard floor which is quite difficult when in many homes that want a vac the only 2 rooms with hard floors will be the bathroom and the kitchen neither of which are super practical to have a vac base station. Ive had to buy a rubber mat to sit under the station to enable the vac to re-dock automatically which is something that seems all but impossible when the base station is on carpet. For the sake of a 5p piece of plastic attached to the dock it seems like a rather significant oversight.

It does indeed share some similarities with the K10... but its certainly quite a bit cheaper (and thankfully no wet wipes 😂). It is bigger though, so theres the trade off!

Thats cool to hear! Glad a few other companies are doing this too! Did you go and look after this episode, or have you had to make use of it before because of blockages? 😂

@@StusReviewsUKI’ve had to get down there a couple times. I would get the error on the app. Turn it over and see mostly a clump of hair. I would then need to use a screwdriver to get at it. At least I knew it was there before I started un doing five screws.
