1997-2003, 2004-2008 F-150 balljoints are fairly easy to change if you do them this way. Assuming everything isn’t all rusted, of course. This is a 2003 (18 years old) that has been in Tennessee for every single winter.

Add this to your little bag of tricks! Stick your new ball joints (you can do this same thing with sealed bearings as well) in the freezer for a couple hours then when your ready for installation heat up the lower control arm (with the bearings it's the spindle) the cold shrinks the ball joint and the heat expands the control arm. It practically falls in. 😉

They don't get messed up if you tighten them after you have load on the vehicle suspension. Tighten all rubber joints after truck settles
