I knew I recognized the scenery... you guys are in my town! As soon as I saw you pull out on to Hendersonville Road! I used to work right over in Fletcher at Millhouse and then Biltmore Church in Arden. My dad has been working in Arden for 30+ years. I have a mildly modified '94 F-150 that my dad bought new 3 months before I was born, and my dad has a '66 Mustang with a built 306 in it. Maybe we can meet up sometime!

The Allan, is a good one, round about 8 lbs boost, just enough, to make it a good engine, and not a gas-gussler. Don't know now, but some time ago, Ford had a similar blower, that gave 6 lbs, without an inter-cooler. Maybe you can try to google this first. Sorry I don't have the specs, and figures anymore. I do hope you get the right info, and make you're truck a nice one.

Do you have to upgrade anything in the transmission? Does this make critical weak links in the driveline/engine?

@@ryansmith3203 none according to Whipple and the shop that installed it regarding my 2019 STX. They do recommend upgrading the oil pump gears if you plan on romping on it all the time. Also, if you plan on romping on it or racing a lot, I highly recommend some form of traction bars especially on a leaf spring set up...

I asked you before and maybe I missed your answer, but who can put one of these on my F-150 in Denver Colorado? Also, I've been reading where one should also upgrade the oil pump gears if you supercharge, is that true?

ConsolidatedPBY ill have to find out who is the installer around the Denver area , yes it is a good idea to upgrade the oil pump gears !!!!!

The oil pump gear question is debatable. I had a 15 gt 6mt with a procharger without oil pump gears and it never had a problem until it was totaled with 15k miles on the kit. From what I understand its bouncing off the rev limiter that will crack the gear. If it was me and I was going to drop that much coin on a whipple I would go ahead and spend 300 more on the gear. Its alot more labor to do that fyi.

I would upgrade,, better to at least try to have the best in there. Check out KZfaqr "boosted F-150" . He blew his oil pump up,, cracked casing. He shows it in his motor tear down. .and yes he as a Whipple.

If you install the stage 2 with factory whipple tune . Oil pump gears are not needed.

Boosted f150 was running a 3.50 pulley with longtubes. The issues was he ran cutouts and was bouncing off revlimiter cause he didnt think he needed to be retuned for them

If going fast on the road is your thing and racing a big ass pick up truck then yeah this is the option. But the raptor is a dedicated offroad beast with reinforced chassis, suspension sytem and more. Raptor will still destroy a a regular super charged v8 in the dunes and doing jumps.

False. ID Motorsports 2018 5.0 NA Screw has run 12.257 @ 112 and they're not done. 2018 Whippled 4x4 Screw could run 11s all day.

@@se1663 Could run 11's v.s. currently running 11's is a big difference though. And even if they do it's still not a 10 second car. I want these things to go fast as an owner because it helps me plan my own future build but numbers only count after you've done your run. Didn't know about that ID build though so gonna go follow that too -- thanks for the heads up!

Why do people keep putting open box intakes in these v8s? All you're doing is suckling in the hot engine air from the engine bay. If you're sitting at a light and that heat builds up and you hit it off the line you are going to get poor results.

Wondering the same thing, mustang engine has different cams but the rest should be the same. Seems to be piston slap issues with 2018 and up coyotes across the board if its not limited to mustangs. The 5.0 Typewriter tick.

Heard u had to swap out yr rods and pistons to forged pistons and stronger rods. If u don't,,, u will throw a rod sooner or later and need a new motor. Still motor is good under 590 hp. 600 or more,, u will throw a rod!
