AMRAAMs are doing surprisingly well. Not bad for a missile that entered service in 1992. The first one fired in combat was a kill if I recall.

Gaijin really needs to fix HMD PD, it consistently locks onto chaff which is not possible for PD and it refuses to lock planes from certain angles where ACM PD easily locks

Remember BVR is a gimmick and it's never realistic to shoot a missile in war thunder beyond 15-20km

@anrw886 it is now. Especially with all nations getting competitive airframes with FOX-3s (except for Germany, I guess)

@@anrw886 I have been shooting at 30+ for years and naw, these missiles hit allot of targets. Whether they be newer, or simply unaware that missiles are still very much lethal at these ranges. Climb at altitude and sling at range. Not every missile has to be high PK, but even the ones that aren't have value in what they force your target to do.
